I'm digging Swell Entertainment, especially her "I did it so you don't have to series" where she has brutally honest reviews of events and products. Her series on Tanacon is what hooked me.
She’s definitely an up and comer. Although her opening is so cringey, I hate it

I'm a little surprised no one has mentioned Akidearest yet, I thought she was pretty popular?
(A Youtuber originally from LA but she moved to Japan maybe a year ago, does mixed content like skits, reviews, fashion, gaming and anime/manga and cosplay stuff, etc. She's also well-known for dating and often collabing with Joey The Anime Man Bizinger)
That being said, Joey's got a great Channel if you're into Anime/Otaku culture and he usually has an upbeat comedic attitude.

CDawgVa also has probably a 99.9% female fan-following, and altho I don't vibe with absolutely every video he makes, I think his "Trying on $20 Chinese cosplay costumes from AliExpress" and "I spent $500 on fiverr to make Memes" series are pretty fucking funny. Boy ain't bad to look at either, lmao.

MacDoesIt and cr1tikal are two other Youtubers I've been subbed to for years who probably have more of a gender-neutral audience. They make comedy videos, commentary, skits, reviews, gaming content (in regards to Charlie) etc. Mac is huge on LGBTQ+ as a Gay Youtuber ....and do I even need to say who cr1tikal is?

Reignbot - One of the 'typical horror' channels. She just puts out videos way too infrequent for my taste. Maybe because I really like them a lot.

How To Cook That - I found her through her "we're debunking 5-minute-craft" videos (I really recommend those - they're fun to watch). I'll probably never bake anything she makes tutorials for but it's nice background noise.

Emmymadeinjapan - The cooking channel probably everyone knows anyways.

Ready To Glare - I don't always agree with her personal opinion on certain topics and she sometimes makes me cringe with hers, but the topics she covers are quite broad and give the possibility to look deeper into something I might have never known about otherwise.

Lets see if i can remember all my faves!

Sherliza moé: super funny and takes zero shit. Her makeup and art are super beautiful and unique as well. I love her commentary videos a lot bc her voice is so soft and easy to listen to.

Ready to glare: overall perfect youtuber ngl, her attitude and humor are *chef kiss* not to mention the darker tone is refreshing to see from a female youtuber

Rawbeautykristi: normally i dont like channels that do exclusively makeup stuff bc theyre usually so fake and overwhelming, but kristi is so fucking funny and genuine and her sass is goals.

Strange aeons: lesbian solidarity. also her tumblr deep dives scratch an itch i didnt know i had

Rachel maksy: her channel is primarily centered around vintage fashion, makeup, and hair but she also does some cosplay stuff, and her dog makes appearances sometimes and its super cute

Bernadette banner: i like the more serious and elegant tone of her channel, and i really love fiber arts and hand sewing. She mostly does vintage recreations using materials and techniques used in the extant garment. Very interesting if you like historical fashion.

Scarfingscarves: a lolita youtuber known for LWLN or last week lolita news, very creative with her insults and her channel is chock full of lolita drama(of which there is plenty). Highly recommended if you love community drama or drama surrounding sheltered elitists lmao

And for a runner up, venus angelic! I used to watch her so much during highschool when i was in my weeb phase, even before all the mama drama started to happen. I dont watch her anymore but she still holds a soft spot in my heart.

(Lets hope my links work)

I really like these few:
LilyPichu - her videos are mainly 'official' stream highlights, but she's got a nice energy that I enjoy. Wholesome, feel-good, melts my cold dead heart.
How to Cook That - Like a previous poster, mainly for her food science debunking videoss.
Kel Lauren - mainly for her graphic design videos; she's pretty knowledgeable, and plus her designs are sweet,
Laci Fay - authentic vintage fashion Youtuber, though she does talk about other vintage stuff i.e cooking, gadgets, thrift shopping in general.
Bernadette Banner - vintage fashion Youtuber, very focused on fashion design.
Karolina Zebrowska - another vintage fashion Youtuber, more memes, but delves into history and inaccuracies in modern film's historical accuracy. occasional film.
Kat Napiorkowska - good cinematography, focuses on mental illnesses, pretty neat. I'll recommend the BOOK 1/BOOK 2 videos as well as WE STILL HAVE TIME, since they're personal favorites.

StealTheSpotlight - She does anime/cartoon, k-pop, etc., inspired lookbook, Her style is not for everyone but I find her it cool, and the ways she edits her videos are really pleasing to watch.

Micarah Tewers - Another fashion type youtuber, she does sewing videos, and her personality makes her videos unique lol.

Steph Pappas - ngl I found her through her mukbang videos, but I stayed because of her fashion hauls and vlogs.

bestdressed - I only watch her fashion videos, I like her basic fashion styles and guides, but I'm not into her personality the sex jokes are too much

Alexa Sunshine83 - Her song intro is stuck in my head. So far she is my favorite youtuber who does thrifting videos

There are several I watch, so I'm gonna put them in different categories:

Historical/vintage costuming
  • Bernadette Banner: mostly does historical sewing, very articulate wih a dry, witty sense of humor but never comes off as pretentious.
  • Karolina Zebrowska: similar content to Bernadette's, except with a much lighter tone and a lot of memes. I'd even be willing to say she's one of the funniest people I watch on Youtube.
  • Rachel Maksy: does vintage makeovers and is a general goof and absolute cutie pie.
  • Jessica Kellgren-Fozard: just a lovely person inside and out, and watching her videos always leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy.
  • Morgan Donner: mostly historical costuming sewing tutorials, pretty fun to watch even if I don't do a whole lot of sewing myself.
  • Micarah Tewers: aside from criticizing costumes in movies, it's mostly a lot of videos of her recreating Disney princess dresses, either making replicas or historically accurate versions of them. She also has a unique sense of humor that make her videos stand out.
  • The Ultimate Fashion History (Amanda Hallay): Videos are basically PowerPoint presentations unlike the others, but the presenter is a fashion history professor, so she's very knowledgeable and goes in depth in every topic she makes a video about.
Beauty/Style
  • Brad Mondo: professional hairdresser, gives hair care advice and also has his own line of hair products at a good price (which, yes, it's more expensive than what you'll find at a drug store, but it's still less costly than professional hair products). He's also pretty positive and drama-free (especially compared to other beauty youtubers), which makes him very enjoyable.
  • Aly Art: mostly style advice, with a focus on the Kibbe body types, coloring, etc. There's obviously a lot of research and care going into her videos and she's also yet another positive drama-free youtuber.
  • Tyler Willis: I'm not into lolita fashion personally, but her LastWeekLolitaNews series is hilarious and made me discover lolita drama is a thing, and it's AMAZING.
History channels
  • Reading the Past: Lady behind the channel has a PhD in history and focuses mostly on Tudor England. She's on the more serious side of things but she's very well-informed and goes in-depth into her topics of the day.
  • Be Kind Rewind: Mostly Old Hollywood history and studying Best Actress nominees and winners of a certain year. There's the occasional comment that will make me roll my eyes, but overall, as an Old Hollywood buff myself, I can confirm the videos are pretty well-researched.
Reviewing channels
  • JLongbone: I don't always agree with her, but she's also absolutely hysterical and has a "doesn't suffer fools" attitude has me in stitches every time.
  • Jenny Nicholson: I tend to focus more on her videos about bad books/TV shows/movies than her Disney reviews, and her dry sense of humor is always appreciated.
  • TwoSetViolin: I kind of hesitated putting this category, but it's basically two professional violinists who goof around, do spoofs and memes about classical music and are generally pretty funny.
  • Amanda the Jedi: mostly reviews of various films, very sarcastic and no-nonsense.

My favorite is Seonkyoung Longeat I love her accent, the way she says noodles and she makes some delicious recipes that you can try! I have yet to make some of the recipes she has but a lot of people say they're good.

I look forward every Sunday to one of the coziest channels I watch. Nicola White mudlark-Tideline art

If you like metal detectors/treasure hunters, you will like Nicola. She "mudlarks" mainly the River Thames, which in itself is not all that unusual, but Nicola likes to do historical research on the items she finds. Add to that some the art she makes with her finds, plus the music and wildlife that she edits in, and this channel is in my top 5 favs, hands-down.
8/10 on the Chill-o-meter.
