It's a total scam. Looked into it years ago when I was looking to get rid of an old car that was literally worth the CC and nothing else. Not only did they offer me less than the local dump for it (the tax benefit was like $50 or something), it turns out they have quite the concept of "charity". Hate to even say it but it's a very clever Jewish "charity" that takes donations and then basically uses it to send Jewish kids to Israel for further brainwashing.
The funniest part is also that they at the end they say they "accept real estate donations". Oh really? Greedy fucks.
Oh, I looked into your claim and it seems like a lot of other sources seem to support you. While I'm not totally against spending the money how you want, as long as it's not lining some fatcat's pockets like a lot of those charities whose "owner/ceo" cuts themselves $400k salary checks, I still would like them to be upfront where it goes. If you want to set up a charity to send kids to Isreal, that's fine. But it does feel like they're heavily implying that this goes to underprivileged/sick kids (well it sounds like they're literally giving 5 year olds cars, but that's ridiculous). So not only are they totally annoying, but also lacking in transparency.
