Judging by the positive response to Null's recent onlyfans/whore post I think it's safe to say that both coomers/simps and the men/women/troons they pay on onlyfans or whatever are looked down upon. But who deserves the blame the most out of all of them for this being as widespread as it is in the first place? Is there a root cause in one or the other? In both? Neither?

I've (mostly) always been of the opinion that without sufficient demand, supply will dry up like a lake in drought. After all if nobody was buying this shit to begin with, surely there would be nobody capable of sustainably selling it. That being said, I'm interested in hearing other perspectives on this.

Neither initially- looking at this coldly, it's a merchant-consumer relationship. E-thot is peddling a service, coomer uses service. You can whine about e-thots not being tradwife material all you want, but that's never been the end goal for e-thottery. The existence of coomers necessitates a market, the e-thot finds her niche therein. In and of itself, it's pretty neutral and there's not much room for "better" or "worse".

Now, assuming the question is referring to the strawman versions of each, that is, an e-thot who is an expert at manipulating a parasocial relationship and playing with her clients' affections, and the all-too-eager simp/coomer client who believes too much in the illusion/wants to wife the thot, I think the fault lies with the coomer. The e-thot is transparent in her offer: look, coom, pay, leave. The simp/coomer is trying to get something more out of that. It's like going to Mcdonalds and ordering sushi. They don't offer it, and even if they did, would you want it? The answer is "no", and the simp failing to realize this is a sign of his failure to follow through on the proposed transaction of the e-thot.

I don't believe e-thottery is a noble profession, but if coomers didn't want to pay, then e-thots wouldn't exist. If this thread is built on the premise that e-thots are some kind of bad, then I think it only follows that coomers are worse.
