Why are there no negative ratings on the DT board? -

I've just noticed this now and it got me wondering.
Have people become overly sensitive that the very thought of getting a "Dumb", "Autistic" or "Off-Topic" rating gives them PTSD?

They apparently were disabled due to people "revenge rating" each other. I'd say rather than pamper the kiddies who can't handle dissenting opinions in a civilized matter we should halal the fuck out of them, but that's just me. I think it's because it just sort of encouraged people to start shitting up threads with passive aggressive ratings instead of actually challenging opinions directly, which last time I checked is one of the central reasons 'Deep Thoughts' even exists.

Maybe to some people. For me it was usually just someone being well, optimistic about something.

Y'know like for example, "I think they will do a good job with the upcoming Star Wars movie." More of a positive thing than anything else, but tbh we're kinda overthinking dumb meaningless stickers at this point.
