Why can't Europeans get along like people in the US? - Britain leaving the EU is essentially the same as Texas seceding from the US. It hurts but the EU has a problem with self determination??

As a result, we are the smartest and best at everything is because we are a combination of all the best things in the world.

More freedom, better quality of life, and more family oriented than Europeans, despite not even being 250 years old.

As a result, we work hard, don't have sex before marriage, and we get down and dirty building things in our garages.

A (soon to be) American president (Trump) literally caused Brexit, and actually got BoJo to dissolve the U.K. parliament.

>soon to be

did you seriously make a new account just to shitpost with three year old pasta?
>June 2016: Brexit
>June 2016: Trump is Candidate of Republican Party to run for POTUS (i.e. soon to be)

>August 2019: Trump is POTUS
>August 2019: BoJo dissolves parliament

Pasta how?

Edit: I created this account yesterday, not today (although I've been a longtime lurker since Rikieda law got involved so I'm basically an oldfag at this point).

Britain leaving the EU is not the same thing as Texas succeeding from the USA. Texas is a state that belong to the USA. England is its own country. England should have the right to leave the EU if they want, the EU are rich elitists out of touch with normal people who are not elected. Leaders who are not elected!

I don’t understand your sub-heading. The reason states don’t leave the US is because historically when they do, they end up having their cities burned to the ground by the federal military

Wrongo, non-American.

It was American policy to flood the (at that time - inb4 150 year pasta @BigRuler) Texas territory owned by the country of Mexico with American settlers who would fight to gain their freedom. Of course I'm paraphrasing, but etc etc drive out pro Mexicans etc etc Alamo etc American Pride etc the US got Texas.

The EU is just like the US where different states/countries who come from similar cultures share a common government, allow freedom of movement, and will soon have its own military. England may have its own set of laws, but so does Texas.

Europeans like liberty so we don't kneel to federalists and instead prefer self-governance.

Okay, I almost said that with a straight face.

Seriously though, Texas will probably cecede before Great Brittain completes Brexit.

I'm gonna give a non-meme answer and say that there's not really any cultural or linguistic difference between most of the states (with a few exceptions) whereas language and culture varies greatly between European countries. This unsurprisingly means greater unity within the US and more disunity within the EU.
Appreciate the feedback. However, Europe is predominantly white, and the majority of those people speak English. Effectively making them American.

We all share a very similar culture, such as the tragic memories of WWI/WWII. For example, my grandparents' neighbors were Japanese and were harassed weekly by the police and it kept my grandfather up at night, causing him to underperform at his job. He eventually was fired and joined the Navy.

However, we also all remember the hope and joy that Luke Skywalker brought us as he worked his way up the Jedi ladder on the big screen, or defeating the Saddam Hussein regime in Iraq. Remember when Zidane head butted that Italian guy in the World Cup?

You see how we all share the same culture, now? That said, it's unfathomable that the EU, an institution known for promoting liberty, prosperity, and human rights, would even question the notion of Brexit.

It all comes down to trade mostly because that's what makes the world go round. Europe doesn't want Britain to just leave, change all their trade rules and then tax the shit out of them with a bunch of treaties that aren't as good as what the EU gives them. What they want is for Britain to make a deal where they get paid billions and some sweet trade deals, most things to remain the same and so on. If Britain goes off and makes trade deals elsewhere it'll piss off a lot of countries that had been living well from the money the British put into EU trade. People go to war over this stuff, threaten people with a bigger army and then get to negotiate a one sided trade deal. In this case that's not an option, so political strong arming and gamesmanship is in order.

US states don't have the issue of having to negotiate things like trade deals as an independent country, even if they make their own laws they are tied together. If a state tried to become an independent country outside of the USA you could bet it'd cause a huge amount of issues.
