Why do leftists deny scientific research over seuxality and gender? -

This is something I've uniquely wondered, considering people (leftists) believe that cutting off a penis (or getting a prosthetic) and getting hormones essentially makes you the opposite gender, even though science considers it more of a mental disorder than anything.

I know it's mostly around feelings and mental health, but there's feeling OK and stable, and there's sheltering things that aren't factual. Do you think there's other reasons?

I sometimes like to refer to liberalism as a religion in dialogue with a lefty. “Tell me what liberalism means to you” or “why do you believe in (x)?” And none have caught on to it. They are pretty much interchangeable so you are correct.

I can’t put myself in the frame of mind to judge whether it helps. There are troons, and then there are real trans people who seem genuinely upset with their body. I would assume it makes a real difference to some if they’re actually chopping their dicks off. If it helps them cope with a mental disorder that can’t be helped, there doesn’t seem to be a need to be against it.

I’m sure there’s a good number of keyboard warriors who are using the situation to promote some warped personal agenda. I doubt any of it is logical.
