Because most lolcows are detached from reality at some level, due to autism or due to other circumstances (or both in cwc's case) both end with the lolcow being unable to grasp the true importance of handling money correctly. They almost always end up in massive debt, but their autism prevents them from being aware of it. Besides most of them live off of SSDI, and live with their parents so they don't ever worry about getting a job or leaving the house.

I think that hits on a couple of key points.
you've got the impulse control problems and the instant gratification thing.

and to add to it, if the money just sort of magically "appears" (ebegging, charity programs, whathaveyou) there isn't any cognitive association with effort, work, scarcity so it has power, but not real value in the sense of a connected resource. it's unreal in a way.

it's like leaving your house on your bike at the top of a hill. It's fun and all to coast down, but in the back of the functioning mind, you know you are going to have to ride up that bitch later
