Because when you don't understand social rules and have an inability to connect emotionally with other, it makes you do/say weird and terrible things.
There's a reason the treatment for autism in the 'good old days' was beating the fuck out of them and locking them in a closet until they behaved. Or so I've heard.

It is a combination of factors:

1. Autism induces a degree of need for predictable routines and behaviors. Once they fix a future chain of events in their braincases, failure for events to unfold in that fashion causes them stress and fixation which is difficult to mitigate unless the chain can be repaired. (Lack of resilience and adaptability.)

2. Autism reduces Theory of Mind skills, that is to say Artie Autist has a reduced ability to understand and model the thoughts, feelings and motivations of others. This usually leads to awkward social interactions that don't end up the way Artie wants, causing stress . (See 1)

3. Autism produces obsessive behaviors, particularly in regards to stress. If Artie is feeling frustrated because something isn't proceeding as anticipated because of 2, this can lead to a compulsive GOTO loop where he continues to clumsily redirect events to the conclusion he wants.

When given resources and allowed to spiral out of control over a wide audience via the internet, you end up with a LOLcow. Not that autism is THE premier cause, but it certainly can be a driver of it just like Borderline Personality disorder is, or combinations of other severe personality flaws.

All of these. When you have a condition that famously alters your behavior and perception of the world around you, it's almost a given that most people who act the fool online and seemingly don't understand what they're doing probably have some condition where they genuinely have no idea they're behaving bizarrely.

Because as a whole species of tard apes we reject and ridicule behavior we deem as odd or broken because we associate this anomaly with our crippling fear of danger outside of our big hugbox of social conformism and is cathartic to use this group mentality to justify feeling superior to others and hide out own retardation and insecurity.

Essentially the explicit reason this website exist and 99% of their users are huge spergs themselves.

Autism is like a special case of Dunning-Kruger effect applied in a social media environment... the autist is poor at social skills, and that couples with the funhouse mirror version of reality you get online where your voice and range of your behaviors is artificially inflated.

Those with poor people skills and a flawed understanding of social cues don't understand that the internet's lack of immediate negative physical feedback for their antics is not approval, but rather stunned silence or indifference.

If someone with a low-functioning personality were to act out like OPL does in public, it would not take very long for them to suffer immediate consequence that they would notice is not what they wanted. They'd note the fact people got up and left, or scolded them, or called mall security on them.... they wouldn't understand WHY it was happening, but they'd get the message that the behavior must cease.

Online, where you don't have the benefit of real-time physical feedback and things like sarcasm and trolling are easy for the gullible to mistake as honest friendship or encouragement leads the autist to believe they are in good company when they act out so they are much more unfettered and go on for far longer before realizing something isn't right when their "stage" is Facebook, or Twitter, instead of a classroom or movie theater where people would quickly excise the nuisance in their midst.

In short, the autists' own lack of personal behavior boundaries gets pumped up to 11 when allowed to run amok online.
