Why every celebrity has the same identical political opinion - Trying to make sense of celebrity lolcows

Melissa Joan Hart; the girl who played Classica and Sabrina the Teenage Witch was a Romney supporter in 2012. She got a lot of flack from her fans for it.

Rick Harrison from Pawn Stars is a Republican.

Kevin Sorbo, who played Hercules in the 90s live action TV series is also one.
Kevin Sorbo is a lolcow in his own right and is pretty much a Kirk Cameron-tier fundie and IIRC, Melissa Joan Hart didn't become conservative or Christian until after she had more or less retired from show business.

Rick Harrison is a TV star but is independently wealthy and his pawn shop was already famous in the local celebrity sense in Clark County even before his TV show, so he more or less exists outside the Hollywood media complex and History Channel needs him more than he needs them unless they do a complete 180 and go back to airing actual historical programming.

Do we know the opinions of most celebrities?

What does Tom Cruise think about the LGBT?
Who does Keanu Reeves vote for?
The most successful ones who have been around for a long time tend to stay quiet about politics and for a good reason.
Speaking up about political issues divides your audience and in turn, lowers your income.
It might provide you with short term benefits but long term, it will hurt your career.

Is because most people working on the entertainment industry hire their friends and a big thing about these "friendships" nowadays is agreeging politically which helps building an echo-chamber. Besides when you are very vocal about a cause its easier to hide from onlookers your skeletons deep in the closet.
Just look at how degenerates like Weinstein, Epstein, Polanski and Spacey got away with shit for years because they were too powerful, and those are the ones the public has verification on.
What I don't understand is how Steven Spielberg's daughter got all messed up to the point of doing porn. If the people who run Hollywood can fuck with Spielberg, then none of them are safe.

Well, they’re actors, their job is to say whatever their bosses, directors, agents, etc. want them to say. Realistically most of them don’t give a shit about politics; they only care about getting paid, when the next party is, snorting coke, and banging groupies. If espousing left wing views gets them gigs, they’re going to be loud and proud about it.

It's always been like that. If you recall there was a ton of support from Hollywood for Obama. Even before that you had stuff like Rock the Vote in the 90s that were used to get people to vote but heavily tried to sway them to vote for liberals. It's just now they've gone completely off the deep end and so it's more apparent. You can probably add in the fact that most are paid to say certain things on social media and what people to endorse.

Celebrities always cater to the lowest common denominator. They want to be relateable to the most possible people, and that includes the stupid ones, especially since the stupid ones are the most likely to give them money.

I have lost my geniune respect for Hollywood celebrities ever since I found out how many of them defended Polanski for what he did in 1977. Being a criminal is one thing, publicly defending him when you are clearly aware of him being guilty is fucking damn worse.

The short of it is that it is all about making as much money as possible. It is also not possible to make money without an audience.

Entertainment is making money by telling their audience what they want to hear. Or see if you prefer. The news and politics in general work the same way, which is why it is all so incestuous. The same type of people doing the same thing for the same group of people. Whether on camera or off, once the person says the wrong thing they end up as a pariah with possible implications of being canceled. Even if it is free, or especially when driven by ad revenue, who would spend their time to be told things they don't want to hear? Or be reminded of it. And so they say the same thing to prevent losing their audience to competition. Don't have any sympathy for them though, as they no doubt know they are herding people for lucrative amounts of cash.

People who cannot look past their own interest only care about the personalizing given to them. They don't see past the carrot dangling in front of them, and rage when it is taken away. So all the celebrities need to say what is proven to capture the attention of the unwashed masses with the most free time, most ignorance, and loosest purses. Should they not then they would be unable to compete with those that do or simply have to settle for a more niche group. I'm sure it goes deeper than that, as once they hit a wall on the number of people to personalize to they also hit a wall on the amount of cash they can earn.

The worst of it is likely the people taking advantage of the general public effectively train their own sheep through various ways to maximize their size, and therefore potential profits. Think of the means old religion used to generate so many like minded individuals, which would then be sent off for war-for-profit or pay regular tithes. Media of course has not only supplanted but outdone religion in all ways using similar means. In the end the lolcows act like walking stereotypes to appease the same impulsive mob that those in power created to get a piece of the pie.

It’s a mix a select few are genuine believers in the cult of soc jus but the rest are only in it either for personal gain\clout, to cover up horrible things they did in the past/currently doing, or trying not to get canceled
I do belive theirs only a few true believers in Hollywood.

Like for instance, Johnny Depp when he made that joke about shooting Trump. I have a personal feeling that Depp doesn't give a shit about politics and just said that becuase everyone else in Hollywood does that.

Those like Kristen Bell, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins clearly do belive in the what their saying.

I'd add Alec Baldwin to that list.

Yes he is clearly one. Another true beliver is Sean Penn

Ayllsa Milano I can't decide if she's a true believer or not. Something just doesn't come off right about her.
I think Milano is just a dumbass who is trying to cope about how she's no longer a woman that's really a sex symbol (not that she still couldn't get from me). She's just every hot chick who is now in her 40s except unlike 99% of them she has a huge platform to shout from about whatever mediocre thought has formed in her head. Her career is basically dead, too. Her last movie was a shitty Emma Roberts-led movie in 2018 and prior to that she hadn't done a movie since 2011. Her only notable acting role at all in the latter half of the 2010s was ONE episode of Grey's Anatomy. She's probably the type that if tomorrow it was popular to be a Trump supporter she'd be out wearing a knitted pink MAGA hat.

I do think that she's probably legit about the #metoo support though. Keep in mind she's been in Hollywood since she was 12 as a main character in Who's the Boss? I wouldn't be even slightly surprised if she had something happen to her and I'd be shocked if she didn't see some shit or at the very least hear some bad stuff from people close to her.

Agree.

One actor I found cool is Dennis Quaid. The guy is a registered independent. He talks about how he's voted for both sides in the past. Yet never talks about who he voted for in the past.

Its possible he's a Conservative leaning Independent. Since he is set to play Ronald Reagan in a movie that Jon Voight is producing. He even talks about how this will be his favorite role to play yet.
Also his praise of Trump' Covid-19 response

Angelina Joile is the opposite. She says she's a independent, yet she seems to vote Democrat all the time.

So i found Dennis more interesting.
