... and I don't mean in the "an hero" sense.
I recently rediscovered CWC again when they pepper sprayed the gamespot (or wherever) employee and was very surprised by their transformation as the last I had seen of them was as a meme way back in the day.
The modern CWC has all the tell tale hallmarks of a liberated young woman free of the bonds of the gender binary and fighting tooth and nail against the patriarchy.
When I saw the video of the pepper spray incident I had an instinctual "You go go girl!" moment (which I'm convinced now the feminist gene is embedded deep into the DNA of all poor non gender conforming folk), but was shocked to see that no one in the greater SJW community seemed to be talking about the incident, even in hushed whispers.
CWC is an island unto herself.
A ship lost at sea.
... and prime evidence, imho, that the SJW community at large is generally bullshit, as it seems CWC is a prime candidate to lifted up on high for their struggles and sacrifices, yet ironically enough it's often times CWC's detractors who at the end of the day are their greatest supporters.
I feel like CWC is a brilliant litmus test for the hypocrisy and limits of social justice / feminism and the new breed of neuroatypical folks who want to be part of the Oppression Olympics that others have already gamed to their great advantage in the gaming industry, for instance.
Given the right circumstances and support, CWC could have been (and could be) an incredible spokesperson / cause for the SocJus community, yet I never see much, if any, cross-over what-so-ever.
You all know much more about CWC than I.
I'd love to hear your thoughts.
