Why is Chris more lovable than Rika? Is Chris more lovable? -

I was mauling this over and I figure it'd be good enough for a topic.

Questions:
- Is Chris more likable/lovable than Rika?
- If so, why?

It feels like, people such as Rika, Pixyteri, the Love-shy board, Gail, and whomever else people tend to troll are just less likable than Chris.

That seems like a really weird thing to say because Chris has so few positive qualities, but I feel that his simplicity as a human being gives him a softer edge. People like Rika are seriously dangerous individuals who are definitely suffering from issues such as schizophrenia, whereas Chris gets himself into situations because he's just really stupid. Chris is more akin to a cartoon super villain, someone who imagines themselves to lord immense amounts of power, but whenever they try to utilize it simply wind up in harmless yet hilarious situations.

For the others, it's not really the same. Love-shys preach the virtues of female genital mutilation. Rika wants to slit Rio's throat even though Rio has done literally nothing to him. Chris wants to paunch Clyde Cash's lights out.

I've been trying to read up on this Rika person but the images on ED are just like walls of text and I really can't muster up being bored enough to read through them all.

And I'm like...really, really bored.

I would read anything of the same length if it were Chris.

Robert is definitely worse than Chris. Robert first came onto the scene as some kind epic ween super-troll, calling himself "The Wraith" of something and acting like he was some kind of big shot. When people called him out on his bullshit, all of sudden he starts bawwing how those mean trolls (you know, the group of people he claimed to be an Alpha of) were bullying him.

This leads into his Rika phase, which shows him using a very real and very serious issue as a means to get attention. As others have pointed out, gender identity disorder is a very hard for someone to come to terms with. Individuals with have to deal with ridicule, intense scrutiny, and, yes, identity crisis. This isn't even bringing up the challenges of how the family may react when they find out, or the medical cost that comes with changing ones sex to align with gender. Robert/Rika sees this as a means to whine about "cisiety" and how he is the transgender messiah. He is an adult that should know better and has very little excuse not to be able to correct his behavior.

Yeah, I actually thought about this too. Chris has a child's mind, so maybe we can excuse some of his worse shenanigans (which, comparing to the people Null was talking about, aren't really all that bad) because we view him as a giant kid dealing with stuff he clearly does not understand.

Definitely CWC has something that all other lolcows lack. You can even be entertained by some of these people (for a while) but with CWCmania, if you get really into it, usually it's a life thing. You'll just keep coming back for more.

I've been thinking about this, too. CWC is a mostly harmless clown who only crosses the line into illegality and harming people occasionally. I don't know much about Rika yet, but he also seems like a horrible person who's worth laughing at because he flies into a rage so easily (Rio's pic, anyone?). He did say he's taking anger management and taking medication, but if he's this bad under treatment, I hate to think what he'd be like untreated

And CWC would never threaten an FBI agent investigating a case where he's a suspect

tl;dr - Chris is mostly funny with some facepalming and sadness thrown in, while Rika is just sad and facepalm worthy, with only a hint of lulz

Chris is infinitely more lovable than Robbay because as retarded as he his, Chris will always try and get further ahead no matter what happens to him. Chris will, as much as he's capable to, adjust to the situation and try to move forward.

Robbay has but one stage: reactionist. Chris will try different strategies; he will pretend to have found a girlfriend or pretend to be someone else or whatever; Robbat will never do this.

I don't believe trolls, at large, had any effect on Chris life (yes, they pretended to be gal-pals and what have you but they didn't drive him to the ground), but Robbay doesn't have even that. Trolling Chris consisted of pretending to be people and basically prankcalling him or his parent; trolling Robbat is sating "so, Robbay seems pretty weird" and he'll stalk you until you're bored enough to forget he ever existed

So yeah, Chris is 1000x more likeable than Robbay

Rika just seems pathetic and bitter. Chris has a certain charm to him. He's like a big dumb puppy that shits on the rug and chews up your favorite shoes. You can't stay upset with him because he's a big dumb puppy and doesn't know any better. Rika obviously knows better. He just does shit to shock people I think. He's looking for attention, any attention. Since he can't get any positive attention he goes after the negative attention, because it's still attention.

Because Chris is fat. Chubby, if you will. And he just visits prostitutes, he isn't one himself. He doesn't muffle his cries snorting bath salt from the asscracks of men who could be his grandfather. Chris is funny, failing miserable in a way so profound it's almost endearing. Of these things, Rika has none. I miss Chris.

Chris is also, in a unique way, mysterious. When Chris says something completely unexpected we intuitively know that the statement was the product of his completely unique rhetoric and logic. We want to understand why he said it and what he actually meant. It is interesting because it's a glimpse into a mind that is so far removed from our own we need an entire Wiki just to try and make sense of it all.

When Robbay say somethings crazy we just know it's because he's throwing a tantrum and have no filter. There's no mystery; all Robbay experiences are completely shallow. I often say that Rob has been stuck in some loop where he has the same conversation every day; the only thing that changes is the audience. Of course not everyone can grasp this and they think they might be the one to get through to him, but fact is Rob is stuck in this Groundhog Day and only he can break the cycle. Until he makes the change every single day of his life will be a repeat of yesterday; he's just stuck in this cycle where nothing matters but the continuation of the pattern.
