Lolcows always go apeshit after finding out they're on ED or have a thread here. They chimp out at the big meanie twolls but another element comes into play too if their ED page or their thread has a lot of dirt from their shenanigans.
They see themselves described in a very negative way. They get scared that people will see the ED page or KF thread and see them like the article editors or thread starters. They get scared their followers will dump them when their ugly secrets come back to haunt them, especially when the truth proves they are liars or fakes.
None of them realize that coming clean and saying "guys, I fucked up" and telling the truth with an apology will get them some measure of respect* though a lot of people will unfollow or unsubscribe. They can't stand losing face or conceding to anything because admitting they are wrong means admitting they are fallible and we all know lolcows prize themselves on being too perfect for this world amirite?
*Unless they committed a criminal act or did something that is so morally reprehensible that they need to get locked up in prison or a nuthouse. Those people deserve zero respect or sympathy.
