Given that sex-change / reassignment surgery and "therapy" is a small economic niche, I'm sure there's a marketing incentive to find customers, just as there is with any service, "medical or otherwise" which involves selling a product/service (as opposed to alternatives which don't involve selling anything).

I have no doubt there is a market for that type of thing. There is a market for everything why would transgenderism and any associated illness and medical want/needs be any different.
So not aborting would be helping some smaller market segment make money. If it was detectable and became more common ( I hope not) then those pursuing to increase their customer base just need pregnant people to take their tranny test and boom instead listing of people to target marking towards.
