The WMF blocked Abd (a notorious wiki troll) from all WMF wikis for harassment (Wikiversity, Wikipedia, Meta Wiki etc) and globally banned his account. In response, he filed a defamation suit claiming the WMF had libelled him (with no evidence) and was seeking $2,000,000 in damages.

The lolsuit was dismissed for failure to state a claim. Basically the WMF can ban anyone they want and it is not defamatory.
