No one is stopping your unemployed ass from starting up the webcam and playing boardgames with friends you cockless excuse for a incel.

I mean, except your friends who won't hang out with you unless there is money in for them.
Money for them? Hell, this guy is the definition of a nerd whore. Patient zero for the "Hey, I can monetize this thing I did once in a while and was lucky enough to start blabbing about on my blog!" crowd.

He did an interview recently.
Oh my God, right at the 35:15 mark he starts whining about his parents. Dad's an abusive bully. Well, he had you as a son, Wil. What can we say - you bring out the best in people. Mom is a momager who pushed him into show business which he resents. But apparently not enough to forsake the crumbs of celebrity he enjoys. Every time this guy types a blog entry or opens his mouth he proves what a reprehensible creep he is.

"I hated getting other people to like me, I couldn't even get my own dad to like me". 😂 He sounds like a nebbish, Woody Allen character. Yea Wil, everybody else in the world is wrong and you're right. The hilarious thing is that Wil admits his dad gets along great with his brother and sister. He just don't like him.

If you are keeping track at home, he admits to having:

Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (from daddy)
Generalized Anxiety Disorder
Chronic Major Depression

With all that depression I'd normally be thinking that suicide was on the table, but due to the one disorder that Wil left out - Malignant Narcissism - that's not gonna happen.

I mostly agree. I've been watching a lot of RiffTrax lately, and I will say it took me a while, but the Bridget & Mary Jo riffs have really grown on me. They're not on the level of really great M/K/B riffs, but they always sound like they're having an absolute hoot doing their riffs, and that makes them really enjoyable for me.
Mary Jo and Bridget sound natural and casual and don’t thrust their insufferable quirkiness into every nerd-adjacent project. Same with Mike, Joel, and the original Mst3k crew. New Mst3k cast looks like a bunch of goons. I almost gave it a chance, but then found out wil Wheaton wormed his way into a cameo and noped out. And I used to like, or at least not be repulsed by, st:tng era Wil. Wesley crusher was awful, but so was Deanna Troi and Marina Sirtis doesn’t seem thoroughly unpleasant.

I never cared much about Felicia day but after more exposure I see zero appeal in her queen geek personality. Also her face is just weird.

I’m not sure if I’d agree with this example.

1) Harley Quinn has never, to my knowledge, been depicted as a good guy. Sometimes her interests align with Batman because she’s completely insane, but I don’t know of her being seen as a good guy (I didn’t see her solo movie though). She’s more of a victim than anything.

2) Catwoman likewise isn’t a good guy, she’s just more sane than anyone else in the city, including probably Batman. She’s not necessarily a good guy because she thinks Two-Face shouldn’t blow up half of Gotham or whatever. Virtually every time she’s the “good guy” it’s because she was supposed to steal something for a worse bad guy and they fuck her over.

3) Poison Ivy has always been a character that will leave you alone if you leave her alone. Writers have made it pretty clear over the years in all of her iterations that she basically wants to fuck with her plants and not be bothered. She’s actually probably the most like Mr. Freeze, as far as Batman villains go,

I’ll quit sperging about Batman but I don’t see any of those three characters as “good guys”. Maybe Catwoman, but again, I think that’s just perspective.
I'm sorry to inform you...

IIRC doesn't she also get pissy at people who disrespect and/or wreck the environment and kill them too? I seem to recall a few of her plots being 'hey you want to fuck with nature well nature is going to fuck with YOU!'.
Which gets really weird when modern writers want to have her all against global warming.

A plant themed villain... being against increasing CO2 and warmth.

If anything Ivy should be hatching plots of burning as much oil as she can get her hands on.
Actually this is a really good point, your female heroine lineup has to be shit if you’re forced to include Harley, Ivy, and Catwoman into “DC Superhero Girls”. I forget how many spin-offs there are, and a lot of them do shit like this.
And KILLER Frost.
No, she hasn't, though given her "femme fatale" archetype they've likely played with her being bisexual since that's what they always do with sexual women nowadays. They made her full muffmuncher with Harley, though, which ruins her character in a big way since the one constant with her before has been that she sees humans as nothing more than tools and only loves plants.
There's only one man for Ivy...

Bringing up Tabletop is always a good time to remind people what an absolute scumbag, save-ass, Hollywood brat this guy is. When they made a bunch of rules fuck ups in one season of TT Wil took the blame...and then immediately passed it on to his producer. Not only that, he went the extra mile and claimed purposeful sabotage - trying to ruin this guy's career.

Best and most damning rebuttal is here:

"Throwaway account here. I've been a guest on TableTop once or twice in the past and the way Wil is throwing his producer under the bus here is pretty despicable. He mentions that he is the creator and face of this show and he should accept responsibility for the mistakes and problems with it, but only after totally throwing all blame and responsibility on his producer. Sorry pal, that's not how it works. Fire the producer, sure, but this post is a dick move and to be honest, it does not surprise me as (and this may shock you) Wil Wheaton is a dick. I don't hate the guy or anything but he is a dick. Felicia Day - cool. Wil Wheaton - less cool."

Ironic, isn't Wil the one to coin the commandment: "don't be a dick"?

Heck it's just a rules fubar, no big deal. Does not surprise me Wil ruins a good thing he had going.

Vox Day has his faults, but his commandments of what SJW'S do should be written in stone.

SJW's always Project ("Don't be a dick", from the biggest dick of all.)

SJW's always lie (I'm sure the rules snafu was just as much Wil's fault as his producer's. In fact, shouldn't a self described nerd love getting into the rules of these games?)

SJW's always double down ("Not only was it not my fault, I was SABOTAGED!!")

ive enjoyed the Bridget & Jo shorts but never had the courage to watch a full movie of them. The Mike/Bill/Kevin crew is so solid it’s really hard to give a new team a fair change even if they’re good.

Could only listen to half of the interview earlier, got caught up on the rest today.

At around 1:04:00 Wil dumps on the father of Anne's kids. He keeps calling him a "shitty dad", "shitty person". Which is what he calls his own dad many times. Not coincidentally, that's what he called Trump, many times. Everyone that doesn't cater to his monstrous ego is daddy. But then he pins going to family therapy on the seven year old who allegedly said "can we go to therapy to make my (bio) dad a better dad". Yea, that's something a 2nd grader would say without prompting from adults.

Listening to this entire interview you get a sense of how manipulative Wil can be. "I needed therapy after my airport meltdown". Then when probed a little, "oh, I've been in therapy my whole life". He's becoming in my mind not just detestable, but at times evil. I'm sure early on he threw his feelings for his own daddy onto Anne's ex-husband and tried to alienate the kids from him. That's how you get back at mean pappa - recreate him and then destroy him. Repeat as necessary with the political villain of the day.

At 1:12:00 he claims to have been an alcoholic. "Oh, what was that like, waking up drinking every day?". No apparently for Wil alcoholism means waiting until precisely 5:00pm to have a few beers. Alcoholics are well known for their precise drinking schedules. But hey, it's another "feel sorry for me" box to check. At the end when she asks about his treatment regimen not one word about AA, the only program proven successful long term for true alcoholics.

At 1:17:00 in a very nice way she asks him what gives him the right to air his dirty laundry like a hysterical faggot in public when it may lead to blowback to his own family and his siblings. His answer is so egotistical and selfish it almost defies belief

On a different note, something struck me as very odd. The infamous "Weakest Link" episode where Wheaton hit on Roxanne Dawson was in Nov 2001, WELL after he and Anne were together. You get the feeling from this account that a lot of retroactive ass covering was done. Dawson initially was outraged then said it was in jest. Wil said he was "playing a role" during the show. I think he was just testing the waters because of the size of his ego.

His "alcoholism" claims always struck me as ridiculously exaggerated too. He was a craft beer/homebrewing guy, slapping his name and face on recipe kits (from Northern Brewer I think?). I bet Anne got sick of his growing beer gut on his skinnyfat ass and put the kibosh on it, so he concocted the "alcoholism" angle to explain why he wasn't beering any more.

He was habit drinking and either he or Anne didn't like the habit. It happens to plenty of guys. A less active lifestyles and the extra calories can catch up to you. Maybe you start getting mild hangovers after a few beers that make waking up for work or taking care of the kids a pain in the ass. It's called getting old. It might be that you just don't like the habit anymore so you limit yourself to special occasions and going out to dinner, whatever. Of course he has to take something entirely normal and give himself a victim status around it.

It exemplifies the modern left. You are defined by your victimhood and here is why that's a good thing.

That strikes me as almost too reasonable. When you're trying to collect victimhood points addiction goes nicely, it adds a certain flavor of self destructive struggle but seems a little more grown up than regular old self harm, but what will these flakes claim they're addicted to? They'll get laughed at if they say weed, and even if they tried to obtain harder narcotics it would likely go a bit like this:

So alcoholism winds up being a popular one since if you've ever had a period where you felt you drank a bit too much (which applies to virtually anyone who's older than 20 and isn't a Mormon) you're good to go. Everyone can be a victim if they set their mind to it, you just have to be willing to look inside yourself and embrace being a helpless little bitch.

To contribute to the female villain discussion though, Cate Blanchette was the villain Hela in Thor Ragnarok and she fucking dies, that kryptonian chick in Man of Steel was a main villain and she got violently banished to the phantom zone or w/e (Wiki tells me the character was Faora-Ul played by Antje Traue; it also tells me Gal Godot was originally offered that part but she was pregnant at the time. I didn't even realize she had kids. Gross), and there's been mention of Batman but nobody mentioned that Talia Al Ghul (Marion Cotillard) was a backstabbing whore in The Dark Knight Rises, and she also fucking died.

I just use those examples off the top of my head because they're more recent live action movies, said women aren't treated too gently, they're portrayed as irredeemably evil (Hela is supposed to be the personification of death itself if I'm not mistaken, and while the Kryptonians have some level of justification the lady one is the most cruel and violent of the bunch), and they're genre-relevant here. Also, all three are pretty hot, if that's part of the criteria.

He should give an interview on what it's like being an absolute faggot and how to kill yourself if you are, and finish it by killing himself.

What a bunch of bullshit. If you're just drinking beer you aren't even an alcoholic. If you aren't drinking at least a fifth of bottom shelf booze a day you are not an alcoholic. If you even know what day it is, you are completely failing to be an alcoholic.
