Currently in the process of downloading the game; friend of mine gave me a code for who knows how many days free play, so I thought I'd give it a go. Anyone here have long-term experience playing the game (even though it's only been out a month), and whether it's worth playing in the long term?

I did some beta on it but I find that Terra offers the same style of game-play, ie telegraphs and active combat, plus waaay better graphics all for Free to play.

I hear its pretty fun to play but like all new releases there is nothing to do after 50

It's good. Especially if you have fond memories of vanilla WoW. What server are you on? I haven't gotten to the endgame yet, but everything so far has been really polished. Warplots seem like they'd be fun as long they don't wreck the framerate.

If you consider dedicating upwards of 16 hours a day every day for 9 months good memories, yeah, sure, I have plenty

I'm still downloading the bloody thing, since internet is garbage, but I will be playing on an RP server since the guy who convinced me to give it a whirl says there are less tools playing on it. If there is a specific name for the server, I'll get back to you when I find out.

Ive gotten up to level 7 so far, and so far it's pretty lacklustre. Besides the combat system, which is a change if pace, it plays the same as WoW did when I played it back in 2006. Missions are boring, storyline is boring, I can barely tell an enemy from a fellow player, hell, the game looks sparsely populated (though that could be because I'm playing on a US server. Might be more busy tonight), and I have no inclination to play with other players anyway.

So far I'm not impressed and would say it's not worth my $20 a month. Yet. Maybe as I level it will get more fun.
