Much of the economy is still intact despite what is described by the doomers. Even with how "polarized" 'murica seems to be at the moment, they're nowhere near Syria, Ireland 1916, Liberia, Sierra Leone, etc in terms of how incredibly FUBAR society is. You can still walk down the street, there are not tensions present to the extent rhat would cause serious civil strife, and the government has yet to be destabilized to an extent that it would allow civil strife to escalate to violence.

The dominos needed are not here. I am p sure you have never been somewhere like Northern Ireland. If you had, you'd know why that has been a shitshow for the past century. Here's a quick rundown:
Two ethnic groups forced into each other's company for roughly 900 years. And have 900 fucking years of history hating each other and committing atrocities right up to present day (not petty crimes like dindus v Karenspawns, actual open, heavily armed conflicts that have not been seen stateside for 155 years)
WITH
Severe, as in NO ECONOMIC ACTIVITY WHATSOEVER depressions over those 900 years erupting into civil strife
WITH
A government that not only gave no shits what these two parties did to each other, but was largely incompetent to stop any violence between the two (grab a rifle and shoot your local joggers tonight. What's gonna happen? Oh, you got shot by the cops, fascinating.)
As bad as shit is between dindus and Karenspawns in the USA, you are nowhere near as bad as the Ulster Scots and Irish have been and you haven't even a fraction of the history of engaging in serious civil warfare that they did either. Your government, as bemused as it may seem CAN keep civil order, and again, a huge part of your economic activity is still going. In terms of instability I have yet to Meet a Yankee screeching about their current situation that realizes how secure their current position remains.
Don't expect the city, state or federal government to look out for you when SHTF. Be prepared.

Almost certainly, and it's going to be a completely artificial collapse, because of political leadership, not because of society itself. You can't just force everyone to stop going to work for four months and expect things to simply be okay afterwards.
Nah, at worst there'll be a recession and maybe some of the asymptomatic victims might get lung cancer or something down the track.

Nah, shit will never hit the fan in the way people think. Americans are too fat, lazy, and disconnected to engage in the kind of antics that would be required for such a thing. Most of us are litrly too big to fail.
Our future is San Francisco or NYC. The rich ascended elite enjoying every luxury and a huge underclass on the government dole for the necessities, placated by pornography, sports, and shitty consumerism. Very little middle class to speak of and no big thinks happening. Rampant crime, barely functional government services, corruption and graft, and none of the simple publicly shared things like water fountains or benches.
It's definitely gonna be shitty, really really shitty, but we won't get the fun and dynamism of shit actually hitting the fan.

I don't see how they will allow food shortages to the point of starvation we are not South Africa most first and second world countries will get by just fine. If my only option to feed my family was to work on the supply chain I would do it in a heart beat. Food is a renewable resource and houses are worthless if you kick people out of them and cant sell them because we are all broke. The main part is every country is doing the same thing so nobody is going ahead of each other and the lockdown will most likely be lifted unilaterally so we are all on the same page. Maybe expect a temporary covid tax of varying percentage like 2-4% for a few years to help dig us out of the hole.
