I doubt anyone gives a fuck about One Angry Gamer anymore, and as the events I'm about to describe are in the past, unlikely many will care. But I have some relevant info about OAG and it's future. When I come back from work later today, I'll make a longer post explaining the behind the scenes stupidity at OAG. For now though, I'll just retract the statement I made last year on this thread about Kevin and Karol being the same person. They are not. Though, it is true Karol is a man.

So basically, I have been behind the scenes of the OAG administrative side for the most active part of this year. I joined after Kevin departed- his last article was published on January 8. I don't understand in full detail why he left, but my guess is that Karol could no longer afford to pay him - either that or he thought his articles were too long. When he tried to hire me, Karol demanded that I keep my articles between 300 and 600 words, that I write one article per day for a month, and my pay would be $150 for the entire month. Kevin's articles always exceeded this low number, and I'm sure he was being paid more before his departure.

I rejected Karol's offer. 150 dollars is too little, and I didn't like the idea of putting out an article a day. I have a well paying job, and the only reason I would want to write at OAG would be to annoy and troll people like ThyBonerConsumed. I used to get in autistic little fights with those guys back when the comments were open (I was Eraserchild.)
So my counter offer was: I'll write for you some articles for free, but they will be how big I want and on the topics I'm interested - and I would be under no obligation to do anything if I changed my mind. It shows you how desperate OAG is that they accepted my offer.

So I joined, along with Dan - a guy who actually took the offer of one article a day for 150 dollars. Unfortunately for OAG, Dan would never quite get the hang of clicking a simple button to share his articles on OAG's social networks like Facebook and Twitter. It's not that he doesn't know how. He does, as he used it to share his response to my article once. He just chooses not to, even though Karol asked him multiple times. Therefore, if you look at OAG's twitter, you would be under the impression that I was the main writer when really I only published on average once a week.

It was my idea to publish the article that triggered OAG fans on Twitter, the one about Extra Credits. Karol approved, as we got a lot of traffic for just that one article. Dan did his little response and I did a response to that, and those three articles got more traffic than anything else we wrote.

I left after Karol got greedy. Karol decided to renegade on our agreement that my articles would be allowed to be longer than 300 words. Therefore, I resigned officially last night. In all, I published nine articles. I signed no contract, nothing, so I am free to divulge whatever I please.

OAG might become a new place in the coming weeks. Karol hired a team to restructure the site, and he is trying to fix monetization issues. If he succeeds, he will try to hire more writers. Kevin and I are both gone, so it'll be amusing to see who comes on as our replacement. Maybe TheBonerConsumed?

He is no counterbalance, he is a dead weight against SocJus. He and other similar sites makes less than a homeless on government cheques and stamps, his brand is quite literally toxic as no one will take him seriously for ad revenue and he had the best conditions where you have alt right supporting his every move.

Ooh one other detail I forgot to mention: Only Billy knew how to manage the OAG Twitter account. I doubt Karolis even logs on anymore. The reason tweets continue to appear is because of the automatic sharing which I alone used consistently. If that didn't exist, the Twitter would be completely dead instead of just almost dead.
