Was it 95 or 98 that had the built-in custom themes like nature, science, hippy, etc?

It was Microsoft Plus!, which first came out for Windows 95. It is in the Computer Chronicles win95 demo above at around the 5 minute mark. "The Sixties" (hippie) theme is shown. It also gave you the pinball game and first version of IE.
That Pinball game is the fucking greatest thing about Win95.
There were two other tables available from Maxis in the Full Tilt Pinball collection but Space Cadet is just way too iconic.

I remember being in 5th grade getting taught "computer science" from the Math teacher who even admitted that it was "a pointless, waste of time because the computers we were using were old Apple's and if you got really unlucky and your last name starts with a P-Z you had to use the dreaded "Commodore 64" lol, which were even worse than the shitty Apple computers. This was due to them doing everything in alphabetical order, so if your last name started with A-O you got to use the slightly better Apples every time. They never rotated or anything. If you had a shitty late alphabet last name, you were cursed with the Commodore 64.

We were taught the programing, I think it was called "BASIC" where it went like this:

You would do one line of programming with 100, then whatever went after that. Next line would be 200, 300, 400, etc. after about 45 minutes of that, you could make something amazing happen like a few colorful lines dance across the screen, or make the computer do strange sounds and flash different colors.

As the teacher said, it was just a waste of time to get us to do shit. The only good thing about computer class was when we finished whatever bullshit we had for that day, we got to play Oregon Trail, which was always a treat.

When I was in the 8th grade, the school made a bunch of money from its annual fair, so they bought two "state of the art computers" for each classroom, and the computer lab got like 35 brand new computers. But what sucked about it was, we, the students, weren't allowed to touch the computers for the entire year just because the teachers didn't attend a "training seminar" where they learned how to use them. Me, being the child of a guy who's business it was to understand computers and always kept a computer in the house, was pissed because I could have taught the damn teachers how to use the computers, but nooooo, we just got to stare at these brand new computers in the classroom all year while they collected dust. It was beyond retarded.

The teachers did the "computer learning seminar" over the summer, when I was on my way to High school lol.

I remember Windows ME had them.
I will always remember it as the first and only OS I crashed.
When I was a kid I tried to launch Age of Empires and it couldn't so I fooled around with the Graphic settings in the Control Panel and then it crashed
