It's funny how this never really became a common view until the site reorg and 3D porn got banned. Not that I'm doubting your claims. But you'd be surprised at how many self fulfilling prophecies can crop up once something like that, aversion and complete disgust of the female body, become an inherent 'superior' and 'bigger wizard' view to take.

You're right: things were completely different on the original Wizardchan. /dep/, especially, was much like /r9k/, aside from the fact that you could not imply that you're not a virgin. I assure you, though, that "proud" wizards or people who don't mind their virginity, have always been around. We just weren't vocal. No doubt, the number of "proud" wizards has increased rapidly since the creation of Wizchan. Most "proud" wizards weren't "proud" wizards when they first found Wizardchan, but embraced wizardry and began seeing it as "superior" after having spent enough time on Wizardchan. I'm also quite sure that some wizards become "proud" wizards as a coping mechanism -- nothing wrong with that. You mustn't forget, though, that quite some Wizchan users aren't "proud" wizards: they're simply not vocal.

A few weeks after Wizchan was created, the site changed radically and somekind of "Wizard Pride", I guess, was born. I think this was enabled by the fact that Wizchan had to compete with Magicchan. The "proud" wizards used Magicchan as somekind of leverage: "if you do not do as we say, we will simply go to the rivalizing site."
