The NBA lost $12mil. That's news. Huge news. Helps give context to their decision to suck China's shit. While $12mil isn't that much for a multibillion international company(presumably) a loss at all is really surprising. Is there a breakdown available to the public to show how it happened?
Average attendance for a WNBA game is 6,535 and I would be shocked if even one-third of that is paid.
The TL;DR is that there is no revenue coming in, so almost literally any expense is a loss.
I don't have an actual public official breakdown though.
The WNBA is so unpopular that apparently my local team has won the championship four times since 2011 and I didn't even know until I looked it up just now. Nobody pays attention to this shit.

Don't they usually cut away when there are fights in professional sports because they don't want to encourage fighting and poor sportsmanship? Been a long time since I followed any sport closely but I seem to remember this. They'd cut the feed and put it on the announcers or pan the camera away from the fight until it broke up.

More people watch children's little league baseball on TV.
There are twitch and call of duty players that make more money than entire WNBA teams.
More people watch re-runs of "cops" and "unsolved mysteries" than watch the WNBA.
The average WMBA player makes over 70k a year but would need to take more than a 50% paycut to make the league profitable.
More people watch women's tennis.
