Bethesda became the fourth reich of gaming by delivering watered down forms of entertainment to stroke the cucky cocks of the "antifascist" types while turning everyone that opposes the "deep" and "political" message into rabid dogs. Meanwhile, gamers are wanting good content that has, y'know, effort and originality put into it. I'm trying to figure out why Nazism is such problem after 72 years. Here I thought that those who hit innocent people with bike locks and shoot up churches were the real monsters. Thanks for clearing that up! Go Warframe and you'll never look back, it may not be perfect but DE seems to listen to their community.

>Some fucking beardy cucks who start fights are worse than jack-booted thugs who treated their own citizens like cattle and set Europe ablaze over their autistic need to tell everyone how to do things

Yeah, you show those dirty SJWs.

What makes me angry at W2:TNC is how it missed out on so much potential. Just imagine, there is an entire world taken over by a sci-fi Nazi Germany, yet not even a hint of a sci-fi Imperial Japan or Italy is set. From what I know, this entire game takes place in the US. Why not give homage to Fallout and make areas and moments similar(sorry if they have, I haven't played the game yet). Why not have an AI leader like in Fallout 3 or even a Liberty Prime vs Mecha Hitler?

This entire game series is supposed to be a comic book version of WW2 and post WW2, yet nothing in the sequel seems to put any effort into making the game fun and creative. I have played Shadow Warrior, and that game puts effort into giving the feel of the old game while mixing it with modern stuff. I've played Rise of the Triad and even that arcade-style of a game tries to make things fun and enjoyable(with epic music, might I add).

Remember the fat Nazi officer lady from RTCW, who owns a company of stealth female nazi ninjas? W2:TNC has a fat woman with a tragic back story who JOINS BJ. Why the hell did they make a good villain type into a crappy ally type? I am all for a game wanting to sell, but please, we should all agree that the most important part of making a video game is to have the game ENJOYABLE and fun, not a manipulated multi-million dollar mess that will be forgotten by next year.

I understand that they want the game to sell well because the previous one sold poorly in comparison to its upkeep, but if they simply gave it replay value or made it more like how Fallout or Wolfenstein (2009) was in level design, there would be no problem in sales for sure. I mean, I like the Ausmerzer, I love the mecha soldiers and robot dogs, I love the weapons. They should focus on things like that. Resistance 2 and 3 already did the US warzone thing, and did it better than Wolfenstein could. That setting is tired unless it can be mastered.

They shouldn't focus on an agenda. They should focus on making the game interesting and a praise of the past, like how any WW2 game is. W2:TNC should have had psychic masterminds like Yuri from Red Alert 2. W2:TNC should have had giant robot spiders or mech suits, or a jet pack function like Killzone 3. It should have customization of weapons and interesting upgrades like Wolfenstein(2009) and that crappy Homefront sequel. For as bad as Homefront 2 was, the customization of weapons was great idea, and if W2:TNC took that idea to Dead Rising levels of insanity and fun, then the marketing scheme they used would have never had been needed.

In short: this all boils down to lazy production and cheap tricks. I'm still waiting for the day major releases give the players a good reason to buy their game instead of trick them with tribalism and false hopes.

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus and The Evil Within 2 start slow at U.S. retailers
Bethesda Softworks is one of the last remaining third-party publishers that is still dedicated to building lots of single-player games. In October, it released The Evil Within 2 and Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, and both didn’t crack the top 10 best-selling games in the U.S., according to industry-tracking firm The NPD Group.

Wolfenstein 2 came in at 14, and The Evil Within 2 was 13th, in the list of best-selling games in the U.S. last month. Forza Motorsport 7, Gran Turismo Sport, and Grand Theft Auto V all finished higher (NPD does point out that racing-game sales are up 43 percent year-over-year). This comes with some caveats. Bethesda doesn’t report its digital sales to NPD. The only other publisher with a top 20 game that doesn’t report digital sales is Nintendo. Full-game downloads could represent anywhere from 10 percent to 40 percent of the total copies sold. On top of that, Wolfenstein 2 only had two days on the market before the end of NPD’s reporting period.

GamesBeat has asked Bethesda for clarification about how the games performed when you take digital and release dates into consideration, as the NPD doesn’t attempt to estimate or extrapolate digital sales.

But even with all of those factors in mind, October looks like another slow start for two single-player Bethesda games. Sure, we don’t have digital sales, but Wolfenstein 2 and The Evil Within 2 both debuted in October. And those first-month sales — first-day sales really — are almost always significantly larger than subsequent periods. And yeah, Wolfenstein 2 came out October 27, but so did Assassin’s Creed: Origins and Super Mario Odyssey. Two days on the market didn’t stop Assassin’s Creed from landing the No. 2 spot. And then Mario was No. 3, and remember that doesn’t include digital sales … and it’s only on one platform.

This October performance isn’t the lone slow start for Bethesda releases. Prey (2017) debuted in May, and it couldn’t outsell Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, or Grand Theft Auto V. And the game has since dropped off the sales charts. Dishonored 2 did not even land in the top 10 when it launched November 2016.

So, Wolfenstein II is on sale for $30 during the Black Friday Xbox One sale. Yea, or nay?

I personally wouldn't buy it until it's worth the same amount as renting a DVD. You'll get about that much worth from it. In the mean time, just watch the gameplay and cut scenes online. Check out the boss fights as well. Oh, and guess what. If you've played the first game, there's an epic last boss battle, right?

In the second game... no final boss battle. Press one button to win the game. Yes, it is as exciting as it sounds.

I think another part of the problem is that, from what I've seen, they're trying to do the whole "Make it more serious/gritty/etc." on top of "shoehorn in politics". Like you said, it's supposed to be a comic book version of WWII not some...whatever they were going for.

A game that I feel kinda got it right was DOOM. It didn't waste time trying to be a cinematic gritty "realistic" game. It basically said "Here, take this pistol, armor, now go kill some demons." And TBH, that's all I want out of a modern day DOOM lol.

I don't get why people are angry about this, video games have been garbage for a long time now. People pushing their shitty politcal agendas into games isn't new just don't buy the game and move the fuck on. It's like that shitty Ghostbusters remake, the attention it got from angry people online helped it sell some ticket sales and gave it a ton of free press. Anyways my point is Vote with your wallet don't buy shit you don't support

That's what most of these speds seem to be doing. Ghostbusters was a flop and signs are pointing to Wolfenstein 2 being one as well.

Like, Hollywood remakes classic movies horribly all the time and no one says shit. Seems like in the social media age people will just bitch and whine about everything even if they don't care. No one would have seen this garbage movie if cry babys on the internet hadn't whined about it
