I'm not sure if this is the place to post/ask, so I apologise.

I got a $350 budget, was interested in Red Wings. Any Kiwi's that wear boots often have any suggestions? My budget can be increased, ideally I want boots so sturdy and durable that I die before they do.

What do you do in your work boots? Red wings are good, Danners are nice too and in that range both have many options.

I'm so old, I have the same pair of Timberland pros since high school back when they were a quality boot. I'd advise away from even the pro series they have now.

If you really don't mind going up in budget, Whites hands down my friend has turned me into a fan boy of that brand and are on my "when I got cash to burn" list of stuff to buy.

Atm I work three jobs, one for Nick Rekieta, a freelance desk gig, and to kill time between contracts, a day job where I'm on my feet, non-stop moving, for 10-14 hours four times a week. Not quite Amazon Warehouse level moving but I'd say two notches below.

I'm in MN where they need to be semi insulated and waterproof, as well as I semi-often go hiking.

So I guess something I can stand in without wanting to do a flip off the top bunk. Ideally not too heavy. Electrical insulation is a plus but not required; Waterproof, and has some kind of decent tread for uneven terrain. I would boil it all down to just that but maybe there's something I'm missing I should be looking for, so I just listed all I do really.

You could go for some timbs or even stop at a workplace store and ask an associate for advice. It's incredibly helpful as I've worked up north and was able to get everything I needed within an hour.

I wear Magnum Panther 8.0s which are a really comfortable, supportive boot but they're designed for security/law enforcement so they aren't toe capped if that's an issue. My old job involved walking something like 13 miles a day and they were super comfortable, not even a hint of a blister.

I'm interested. I haven't checked in a while, but I used to average about 9 miles a day at my current job, I'll look into these

Give Keen a look. I was surprised that I found them more comfortable than Red Wings, and the waterproofing is just as good.
