To me I see it as, "Oh grow the fuck up you overly sensitive twat". There's no "respectable distance" for your dumb pixels in a video game.
Well that was done Pre-WOW and the plot had played out it's use by the end of Warcraft 2. You had the ultimate battle where Lothar and Ogrim beat the hell out of each other. Or do you want Warcraft as a franchise to be the fucking Walking Dead where nothing new ever happens
Warhammer Fantasy seemed to be doing alright with this concept until Age of Sigmar came along. To be fair though, they kinda cornered the market on Orc savagery and faction wars too, so Warcraft's decision to follow grand scale events that unified both sides was something that made it distinct at the time. It was only after they did it several times yet still tried to sell faction conflict that the idea overstayed its welcome.
