If anyone knows anything about the 419 scam, its the Nigerian money laundering scam, and 419 is the criminal code number for it.

Seeing that Chris is greedy and would think its all legit, would he look beyond the scam thinking he will get a lot of money or would he rather look at trying to get China from the girl (who probably is posing as a guy) ? Would he not do it because its a niggo at the other end? (He doesn't know much about anything outside Virginia or how the world works)

If I was getting a much simpler $800 "tugboat" every month, I wouldn't bother with the effort to get involved in crime.

What Trippin said. Plus I don't think he would actually fall for a Nigerian scammer with how fucked up his sense of trust is now. Five years ago he might have. So unless the scammer is posing as a believable boyfriend-free girl (no blackies), he would probably just delete the message like he does the other 100 or so messages he filters through a day.

He doesn't even see the emails. if you aren't on his contact list then his email server shit-cans your message without ever putting it into his inbox. But you're right, even if a wealthy Nigerian DID die and leave all of his money to Chris and someone managed to email him about it, Chris would just think it was a troll and ignore it anyway.

Chris was stupid enough to think he'd get $9001 from smashing his PS3, and the trolls weren't even trying to scam him.

To answer the OP, someone posted a 419 scam letter to one of the early CWCipedia Mailbags, and he ignored it -- he hadn't even started giving canned responses at that point, but it's possible the bad (indeed, perhaps intentionally confusing) English was just too hard for him to read.

Chris is too lazy and too paranoid at this point to get involved in this kind of thing.
