Would you rather...
A. Have your favorite intellectual property (that has not already been made into a good movie) remain forever without a movie release,
or...
B. Have this IP's movie be done by a director who has made good movies in the past, but now has a recent history of really awful choices, like M. Night Shyamalan or George Lucas?

Either way, depending on the circumstance (for example, B could work with certain IPs I like and A is probably the best choice for others; more leaning towards A at this point)

Would you rather...
A. See your favorite lolcow work go mainstream somehow (their fics, comics, etc)
or...
B. Play a simulator game of your favorite lolcow (who hasn't had a game made of them yet)?

Using M Night and Lucas as examples of "having a recent history of really awful choices" is a huge understatement. Neither director made their good movies on their own. Star Wars was the result of much more competent people surrounding Lucas and removing his horrible ideas from circulation. M Night was the same with 6th Sense.

I'd not jeopardize something I've made with a shitty movie, and the Harry Potter movies prove that a good book can be a good movie series. I'd just go without.
