In case you havent heard WPA2 Potentially May Have Been Cracked. https://9to5mac.com/2017/10/16/wifi-wpa2-hacked/ This May Be Verry Interesting. Now my computer expertise being somewhat lacking maybe someone smarter could fill me in but i get vpns will protect you from atnt and verizon de anonymizing but how dose one protect their routers and home networks if wpa2 has indeed been cracked?

Don't broadcast your SSID (it's a pain, I know)
Filter your MAC address for each individual device and deny all the rest (a bigger pain)
Stronk password. I say +21 characters including several specials
Get a signal jammer outside your place.
Or... don't have a WiFi.

This vid explains how it's done.

Yeah I did the mac address thing for a while. You do ipconfig to get the info then you put it in your router's config thingy.
Not sure how it works with tvs and modern stuff.

The attack is mostly for WPA2's encryption in most implementations. Thing is, not only is it patchable but hackers were already able to steal your password via brute forcing it. With a GPU or set dictionary, you can bruteforce quicker.
