Edit: I actually really enjoyed this. Bob was damn near a scholar on the roots of rock. I can only wonder how much effort it took to collect such a diverse and rare record collection. It's pretty obvious this was his love. I find it sad that this record collection, which by any standard is world class, is lost because his family are either morons or hoarders.

And he may have sounded like an old man but his accent is very relaxing. He could easily have been a NPR presenter. Sad. He knew his stuff. I hate it when knowledge dies without any continuation.

I have always had sympathy for Bob. I know he was not the best the dad but he does not seem like he was a bad person that deserved to die in squalor. I wish I could have met him and gone out to Lunch. He seemed like he was very knowledgeable man.

Honestly, I get the impression that Bob tried to be a good parent but his old age held him back. I imagine trying to raise a kid like Chris way past your prime would be difficult.

On a side note, I feel like Bob wasn't as much of a racist as people brought him out to be. Someone that's educated, has seen the world, and is rather interested in national affairs and other cultures ("UN4EVER") doesn't strike me as being the racist type. Besides, what evidence was there besides that one Obama joke and that remark he made about crosses? That always struck me as being a tad flimsy.
