Obviously, in a situation like this there would be shortages of these goods eventually, but these peoples' actions have helped to accelerate the process and exacerbate the problem.
Let them pull this shit. Costco isn't allowing tp return once this blows over. I hope they all enjoy eating nothing but spam and canned green beans for the next three years.
Seeds are in the stores. Zucchini are easy to grow and if you get at least one plant to produce then starving will no longer be an issue. Drowning in zucchini might be the new problem though. Same with okra and cherry tomatoes. Be careful out there.I'm surprised that people aren't gardening more, honestly. The plague hit right at spring time.
Just got the garden started.how has no one has pointed out that the agriculture industry is heavily subsidized? There isn't a way to have a stable food supply without subsidies, and most people would struggle to afford animal products without subsidies. It is already socialized to a pretty heavy degree.

Is there anyone here who DID stockpile (AKA hoard) and is willing to admit it?
Excerpt said:“Our members are definitely seeing more demand for this medication and possibly some people trying to hoard the medication,” said Todd Brown, executive director of the Massachusetts Independent Pharmacists Association.
According to Brown, it appears the hoarders include doctors who are writing prescriptions for themselves or family members.
“Pharmacists are seeing an increase in requests and prescriptions for them, in instances where it's not clear why the patient needs it at this time,” he said.
Who's buying all the chicken? You don't need that much chicken. GIVE ME YOUR CHICKEN.
They are currency now.I'd like to know who is buying the all the plantain chips. Plantain chip hoarding? Seriously?![]()

I bought a crap ton of food the week before, not thinking about it. There was just so many discounts l that I just had to. It makes it easier to freeze it all and thaw what you need that way. I'm a hermit by nature so, less social interaction the best. And I normally only buy food ever 4-5 weeks anyway. I dont eat out, I just wait till I'm close to zero food as possible. There's a difference between keeping an adequate supply of food, sanitizing products, toilet paper, etc. and what these douchebags are doing. Sensible people keep an adequate supply of necessities on hand at all times in case of an extended disruption in supply, and thus don't need to panic buy and hoard shit the moment something bad happens.

During Trump's recent press conference, they ask for hoarders to either sell their items to the public or sell them to the government. If they refuse, then they're "going to come for you.”
When the first case showed up in my part of the world, I started doing research to see if there was any evidence for an effective treatment for coronavirus. I found by reading Chinese and Thai sources that there were three drugs that anecdotally showed some evidence of efficacy: Kaletra, which is a combination HIV drug, Tamiflu, and Chloroquine. The first two required a prescription where I live, but Chloroquine didn't, and since malaria is endemic here, I didn't have too much trouble finding some. Had to check a few different pharmacies, but it was there. I bought enough for two courses of treatment, one for me, one for my girlfriend. There were at least 25 boxes of the stuff on the shelf.I also suspect that there's going to be a lot of bartering going on.
Good luck getting that without a prescription!
I understand that the current "shortage" is because hospitals are ordering extra so they will have it on hand if they need it.
I bought a couple thousand rounds of ammo that count?

I'd be willing to bet everyone reeing in this thread are the same people who were trolling and making fun of prepper spergs in the coronavirus thread a month ago. I guess ya dun goofed. You all had three months to prepare; You want to punish people for having more brain cells than you did and actually stocking up for the long term.
