This thing has brought the worst self-important assholes to the lime light. The past few times I've gone out to buy food, I've had snide remarks and rude comments from people simply because I walked past them. I try my best to keep 6 feet away from people to appease the masses, but when somebody is standing in an aisle staring at bread for 5 minutes, at some point I give up waiting and go past. Has anybody else had people snap at them? It's the whole mentality of "You don't need to be here, but I do!"

That's a constant theme, both in and out of this WuFlu horseshit.

Years back, a fellow in a wheelchair told my mother to get out of the way. My mother asked him, "Do you want to be where I am?" He replied indignantly, "Yes!" She said, "Well, you can wait. You're already sitting down." He then ran wheeled quickly to a store clerk and tattled on my mother. The store clerk looked over and laughed.

Is there anyone here who DID stockpile (AKA hoard) and is willing to admit it?
Depends how you mean, A few years back I was off work sick (like extremely sick) and had, until that point in my life neglected to make a dent in a savings account. I went without and had to rely on food pantries and stuff. Fuck that, I never want to be in that spot ever again. It's hell. So I decided to not let that happen, and over 18 months, worked towards caning stuff I had grown, and setting by essentials for ties I might be unable to get out the house. I also saved enough to live for a good length of time.

If that makes me a hoarder, well then that figures. You've got these retards panic buying calling themselves "Preppers" so I guess it fits with Clown World, right?

It's not hoarding if you're going to use what you bought, or share it with others who might not have it, whether giving it away or selling it.
that's exactly what I've been doing. I had more than I needed, and I'd been hunting a few months prior to things kicking off, so had a lot of rabbit, boar and venison in the spare chest freezer, as well as a lot of other staples. So I was cooking for neighbours and using that all up. I gave away TP I could spare, and other bits and pieces like laundry soap and other essentials. I keep a spreadsheet of when I need to use the stuff I have up and batch cook accordingly/use stuff from the freezer when it's going to go off. I didn't necessarily buy it with the intention of giving it away to others, but I took care of myself first, and anything I could have spared went to people I knew would benefit from it too. I'd never ask for money either, that's not how it works to me. I did take a couple of bottles of incredible home-made mead a neighbour insisted on giving me in exchange for some rice and frozen meat, but they insisted, and I was glad I did, but I never expected it. I don't need the money, I just know how it is to go without and if I can help a person in my community who is in need then it is no trouble, at all to do so.

Those fucktards buying 100 TP rolls in one go because they are scared the pubs and bars will shut who call themselves preppers though proper boil my piss. Preppers don't need to go out and panic buy cos "all is safely gathered in" and they've made their provisions well ahead of time.

Ya, have some things likely to be "deficit items" stored, but not an excessive quantity, and these are things we'd use anyway.

Saw someone earlier saying there may be more shortages around Christmas time. Going to get some extra batteries next week, maybe one more sack of rice and a pound of butter, but seem to have enough. So would say if you think supplies may get tight again get it now, some at a time.

Here we go again, but this time with the holidays included. Did no one quietly buy extras during the summer when there was plenty? And who waits until they're out to go buy more bog roll?

Not to encourage overpurchasing, but do not get complacent that you can just get stuff delivered. Even mail order places run out sometimes. Hoarders and assholes also have Amazon accounts, yanno.
