You know what really gets me about the dumb mask shit? During the bubonic plague one of the things they tried to control it was having everyone wear masks or face wraps stuffed with herbs. For obvious reasons this did not stop the plague.

We are literally attempting to use discredited pseudo science from the middle ages in 2020. Try and wrap your head around that for a minute.
It’s mad. There are times and places when masks are great: when you’re caring for the very vulnerable for example and have carers in and out, good hand hygiene and masks would be a good idea. Close up dental work. That kind of thing.

I always thought they used herbs to stifle the stench of the dead, then I remembered that back then, people thought that diseases were spread via smell. Not knowing what germs were they figured no smell, no sickness!

Fun fact: "Ring Around the Rosie," the schoolyard song, sprung from those times. The title is reference to the telltale red rings of the plague. Pretty grim when you look into it. Here's an article about it:

Early medical treatments are fascinating to me, but it's scary to see how quickly some people revert to behaving like superstitious townfolk despite their admonitions to FOLLOW THE SCIENCE.

Why is everything locking down again? Isn't there suppose to be a vaccine coming out by the end of this year? Why is everyone panicking again?
Because that is what They want you to think, fren.Edited to say: Yes there will be a vaccine. But handle with care. Ask yourself this: Why do we need a vaccine for a virus that kills less than .7% of the population?

Covid 19 exists for sure. But it is only a threat to the old, the ill, or the so fat they have made themselves ill. Be careful and if you can find a way to avoid the vaccine until its safety is proven then all the better, fren. <3

Orange man could potentially win via the courts and or faithless electors come December and in case he does they want to keep it going in order to ruin a potential Trump second term.

Notice they announced they were delaying the vaccine trials until mid December? What was that other thing that happened in mid December again?

Things are changing so much now.

My folks have serious health issues and it's been a living hell on earth for them to get treatment from the doctors that were there for them just a couple of years ago. Some of the docs have given up. They've got cancer themselves. Docs who were brought in to buy in to the practice have fucked off. It's a hard game right now being a GP. A lot of demoralisation. Don't help my folks though. But fuck it they already got tried to get killed off. So to speak.

This whole corona thing is very convenient.

Not possible to see a doctor any more. Not possible to have a telephone appointment except for a fucking week later. When you are bleeding the fuck out. And hardly anyone in the area having covid. But can't be too careful.

We've all made our own peace. We've all seen those closest to us die long drawn out horrible deaths. And sometimes the docs have been great. But it's a new day.

Things are changing.

Can you feel it too?

Dave.

People who take selfies with masks on is all I need to know about them. I don't need to talk to them to know what kind of person they are.

These are always the autists that screech the loudest on social media, spamming governor's Twitters demanding lockdowns and tighter restrictions. I swear they jerk off every time a new one is announced.

Really I think a lot of people are just addicted to deathporn and panic and misery. Like I've been saying, most normies near me are living life fairly normally within the exceptional restrictions of local government that are ever-fluctuating, but otherwise don't seem panicked (they vary in age too) or terrified.

One of my favorite corona cows is our very own Rat King, Ana Mardoll, who spends approx 24 hours a day ranting on Twitter about how we're all gonna die.

It's gonna look the same, Ana. Some people sick and dying, most people perfectly fine aside from the loss of income, mental health tolls, financial tolls, etc. this madness is causing.

I think it's the commie strategy, where the government wants to demoralize the population by forcing them to believe ridiculous statements. Granted, people really overestimate the intelligence of doctors and others in the medical field.

Same shit, different day. Oh, before I can have a certain medical procedure I have to have a test. God forgive me since Nazi Newsom will use that number to keep breadwinners out of work.

MORE GRIM NEWS AS COUNTY'S CORONAVIRUS CASES REACH SECOND-HIGHEST WEEKLY TOTAL

• Up 958 this week — only late August was worse

Maybe it's because people are spending more time indoors, or maybe they're social distancing less, or it could be that something about the virus has changed. Whatever it is, Monterey County has just gone through a week with 958 new coronavirus infections, the Monterey County health department said, making this the county's worst week since Aug. 16-22, when there were 966.

The surge is a major disappointment, especially since just a little more than one month ago the county had a weekly total of 314 new cases and seemed to be on its way out of the state's most restrictive Purple Tier when it comes to the economic, school and social shutdowns.

Unfortunately, the deluge of new cases has pushed our 7-day average of new coronavirus infections per day per 100,000 residents all the way to 29.5 — a number so distant from the governor's 7.0 goal, it makes any talk of reopening sound like a fairy tale. Our 7-day testing positivity rate is also through the roof and now stands at 15.56 percent. The statewide rate is 5.9 percent.

This week's 958 cases mostly occurred, as they always do, in Salinas and the Salinas Valley, where there were 704, but the Peninsula is also experiencing a surge of its own. It had 137 cases during the week, including 49 in Seaside, 31 in Marina, 24 in Monterey, 14 in Carmel area (93923), 10 in Pacific Grove, four in Pebble Beach and two in Carmel Valley. Only Carmel-by-the-Sea and Big Sur had no cases, and there were three cases in the Peninsula with an "unspecified" location.

There were five more coronavirus-related fatalities this week, bringing the county's total to 113 and putting its death rate at .0002433, or 243.3 people per million residents. Also, 41 more hospitalizations with coronavirus were reported by the health department, and at the end of the week, CHOMP said it had nine inpatients with the virus, while Natividad said it had 21 and SVMH had 18.

For details about Monterey County's shutdown status, as announced by the California Department of Public Health, click here. To see the most up-to-date charts and tables from the county health department, click here. Below, you can also find the updated versions of our charts showing coronavirus infections countywide and in the Monterey Peninsula, along with the data for hospitalizations and our chart breaking down Monterey County's coronavirus cases and infection rates by zip code. More people need to just come out and say "yes, millions of people getting sick and dying is a worthy and noble sacrifice so that billions of people don't have to live like rats smothered in cages because millions of people are getting sick and dying anyway no matter what we do." Most people would consider a few million dying to save billions from suffering, misery, and tyranny a very worthy sacrifice. Free countries forced many to sign up and sent them to suffering and their deaths in order to stop the Nazis and Japs from taking over the world 80 years ago and the governments prepared to do the same thing in case the communists tried to conquer the world 30-75 years ago.

@JosephStalin: it could also be because the metrics have changed and they are calling ant death, no matter the cause within 28 days of a positive rona test, a death from it.

Seriously. That's the bullshit metric they are using in the UK. if you have a positive Corona test and die within 28 days you are classified as a Corona statistic. Doesn't matter how you die, it will automatically get put down as Corona and families are having to fight to get deaths recorded accurately.

The stats are a lie, the media are lying and PCR tests are NOT meant to be used on asymptomatic patients. Everything they are telling us is based on lies.

It seems Walz may have overstepped by ending youth sports, especially hockey. People are finally protesting and at least one restaurant is open against the Tyrant’s orders.

Probably a good idea to have a thread on this given how often it's discussed and will continue to be discussed until November.
