With the rapidly deteriorating geopolitical situation, it might be handy to have a visual guide to the potential combatants of WW3. This is by no means comprehensive, and participation is encouraged.

A quick recap, for anyone who's had their head stuck in the sand recently:
- China is dickwaving Taiwan, surrounding the island with bombers and parading their aircraft carrier in the strait
- Russia is dickwaving Ukraine, having positioned 85K+ troops on their northern, western, eastern, and southern borders (in Russia, Donetsk, Transnistria, and Crimea, respectively)
- Biden exists
- the Middle East is, as usual, on fire
- Myanmar is on fire
I'm more than slightly concerned what would happen if Russia and China made good on their threats to Ukraine and Taiwan simultaneously. That would be bad.

So let's do the most autistic thing possible, and paint maps about it.

I have taken some opinionated stances for the purposes of a Good Story. Russia, Iran and China and their blocs obviously have semi-aligned interests, but in the event of limited wars, the other countries might not join in. Same for the US, India and EU all probably being on the same side, but setting their own agendas.

Turkey gets their own bloc because of their schizo foreign policy. If Turkey joins the anti-westerners it will be from a combination of mercenary thinking and China probably showering them with cash to paper over their bitter differences with the Russians. The Philippines are gray because, on the off-chance Duterte decides to spurn the US, blockading China will be an actual challenge and not a turkey shoot, which would make for a good story.

Brazil and Argentina are probably not going to help the US if there's a change in government soon, and I'm being optimistic about the East African Federation / Ethiopia's ties to China. Not ZA though, stupid fuckers.

Ukraine isn't that important but Taiwan absolutely is, CCP taking Taiwan would cripple America economically and secure China's dominance of the local seas. A coordinated attack by Russia and China on Ukraine and Taiwan could escalate rapidly.

There are a lot of economic/political incentive to do so, for the U.S. especially. If Ukraine was to cease existing - any debt it had to anyone else will be null.

While debt itself is not expected to be repaid at all in the first place - it gives debt holders leverage to do whatever with the country - and there's a lot of wild shit going down there that would be highly controversial in EU countries or even the U.S. itself.

Its not that money. also the EU doesnt cares about debt. Germany has to pay for anybody anyway and Ukraines debt to the EU is just a drop i the ocean of Southern European Debt.

China has expressed repeated interest in seizing the sparsely populated East from Russia and would try to do it given a half a chance. Russia simultanously fears this and want to curb Chinese mongering in Central Asia because the pipelines running all throughout that region are basically the sole thing propping up the fiat Russian economy at the moment. That and the East are all Russia has going for it right now and the Chinese are looking at both of those things hungrily. They're just as likely to war each other as to war anyone else. The sole reason they haven't is because they currently share interests against the West.

You're right, but they're both sick of the US hegemony and would be willing to work together to take us down first before they would decide what to do with each other.

It's not unlike the Axis during WW2, it's possible had they won they would have eventually fought a war amongst each other, but at the time they were allied to focus on taking down others.
