Whenever I look at your character designs, it always reminds me of the time you used to draw inflation porn.
I think NOA and Nintendo in general realized that they fucked up immensely in 2015. It'd be justified to remove stuff to appease the ESRB like with Smash Bros. but outright removing problematic content that probably wouldn't have affected it, rewriting characters and changing story elements is another thing.
Edit: To clarify on "appeasing the ESRB" with Smash Bros. some trophies had to either be altered or cut in development. The Tharja trophy on the 3ds was cut, while in Japan the Wonder Pink trophy was completely reposed and retextured.

New design is literally a step back in that it's moe-blog animu shit. Were it changed or removed, one could get salt. Also for all the salt towards the lady on the right in how she is dressed, the cover manages to show some other terrible outfits.Seriously though, the design change should be the real salt!

I love how the people who are going "THIS IS MISOGYNISTIC/SEXIST DON'T @ ME" to strangers and will turn around to make derogatory comments about the same female character design with their friends. I've seen people use the word "watermelons", "torpedoes", and "tubes" in nasty ways these past couple of hours, which I know a couple women with a very similar body type who would be hurt if they saw people saying the same comments about them.
When you point out how they're shaming this woman's body, they'll try to change the narrative, "No, it's not the breasts. Her SPINE is broken! Why are her hands so big? Her feet are gross and weird, they could've just given her heels." Continued negative comments on her appearance.
I've seen people post "edits" of the character where they significantly reduce her breast size and everyone who were persuading others nothing was wrong with her breasts are praising it.
And they've said, "Why do you prioritize fictional women over real women?" even after they started bashing on the real life character designer.
So what if the character designer loves designing exaggerated sexy girls? She doesn't have big breasts or an hourglass figure? Let her design a character with big exaggerated breasts and the hourglass figure she wishes she had. Let her express her fantasies through her art. It's harmless fun. I see no pedophilia, racism, or sexism in the character.

Well depending on their ages they were either failing biology classes because they were adamant about there being more than two genders, sexually harassing and/or date raping fellow college co-eds, or trying to get a foot into the game industry by writing at online gaming publications before everyone realized what a complete joke that "profession" is.

As a person who likes more anime styled games, the only reason I can say I don't like it is because the cloths don't fit the new style somehow. That person who keeps saying "I'm a kid you can't tell me I'm wrong!" must know that in some states in the U.S. that if you're 16 and do stupid shit you're accountable. If the age of consent is 16 then you're legally an adult no matter what when it comes to things like crimes and other things. You cannot hide behind numbers to protect yourself. Also they have a paypal and are 16 and breaking terms of service but you didn't hear that from me!

Another guy tried to make edits to some MMO character in making her look armored. A tumblr blog points out that leather doesn't actually make for good armor and metal studs do jack shit in protection.
The "but muh functional armor!" argument these guys like to bring up is pure fucking bullshit. This is a dark mage from the first Final Fantasy, the robes he's wearing aren't skimpy but they'd provide no more protection than a bikini. These people don't give a shit about realism, they're closet prudes and misogynists who think that women's bodies are "dirty" or "impure" which ironically is the exact same viewpoint religious fundamentalists have.
