The "but muh functional armor!" argument these guys like to bring up is pure fucking bullshit. This is a dark mage from the first Final Fantasy, the robes he's wearing aren't skimpy but they'd provide no more protection than a bikini. These people don't give a shit about realism, they're closet prudes and misogynists who think that certain parts of a woman's body are "dirty" or "impure" which ironically is the exact same viewpoint religious fundamentalists have.

The functional spergs are hilarious. While chain bikinis and boob plates are ridiculous, the whole realism factor is an iffy ground when you got a game where your unprotected head gets hit by an arrow and you live like nothing happened or how a longsword is able to beat a guy in plate through slashing. These are people sperging over video games where logic can literally jump out the window.

At this point, everything that comes out of japan, that is not aimed at kids, is gonna get this kind of response, from the usual faggots.
Where these people were 10 years ago?
About 10 years ago maybe a little more now the big concern was video games and violence. It seems video games keep going through these panics about what is and isn't acceptable to make into games.

Someone ought to show her the witch/sorceress from Dragon's Crown, so she can have a meltdown about that as well. The proportions are even more egregious, and they jiggle!

The only problem being Dragon's Crown isn't current or popular enough to get up in arms about. It'll be much harder to start an SJW circle jerk talking about a game released over 4 years ago...
Guess who complained about Dragon's Crown when it came out...

I bet it was just as painful as those incredibly late commissions, especially the one where you had to draw Ridley.
This people should know by now that shaming japanese devs never work, Nintendo already learned that fanservice works, that is why they keep exploiting Fire Emblems

Everyone i know that have the game said to me that is a very good, and are very happy that they added KOS-MOS

Fanservice doesn't even mean revealing clothing or anything. Look at Mario Odyssey. It's something people have wanted for a long time. Even Breath of the Wild is a good service for fans, because it's not a 3D Zelda with the same controls.

Speaking of Fire Emblem, Dark Mages and Sorcerers have lots of revealing clothes, yet have low defense but only high HP. To accommodate for it they usually are harder to hit and can also do follow up attacks on enemies.

I've given up on even being annoyed by these people anymore. It's the same shit as NieR. Make two sexless robots, have the developer promote pantyshot sharing and general softcore pornography of his creations: "sO CUTE!!!11 ship!!!".

Do the same as an American and they lose their shit. It's like the whole ordeal about whether a guy is charming or creepy depends on how wet he makes her.

I know it's different people and fandoms but they all act the exact same. Whether it annoys or empower them comes down to a binary die-roll. Does this promote the female physique or cater to men?

As a person who likes more anime styled games, the only reason I can say I don't like it is because the cloths don't fit the new style somehow. Then again, it's Xenosaga series (and honestly, one of the spoiler characters would look really weird in the Xenoblade 1 style.)
I haven't gotten a chance to play it yet, but what I've seen in trailers makes it seem like it looks better in motion then the original game did. Not sure how much that matters.

Honestly, I'm way more salty about the fact we got a sequel to the first game instead of following up the cliffhanger ending from xenoblade chronicles X.

As for the art style, the previous games had a pretty decent balance of realism and anime that I really prefer over the new style

Can anyone who's playing the game right now confirm that this sparkly bazonga lady from earlier in the thread is a playable character, or does she eventually turn out to be a surprise new god/world map location called the Boobonis?

Well, she's semi playable. Essentially the way the game works is you acquire "blades" which act as spiritual weapons for the human characters. In other words, no, you do not directly control Dahlia. She really doesn't have any relevance in the plot either, she's completely optional.

Apparently people are also saying that Dahlia's spine only really looks weird during certain parts of her intro cutscene.
