Over the past couple months I've been listening pretty much exclusively to yacht rock. Yacht rock isn't really a hard set in stone genre like say, black metal is, but it's essentially what you would call soft rock/adult-oriented rock from about 1976-1982. I think the nostalgia and carefree attitude and timelessness of it is what's refreshing to me as a disgusting zoomer, where it seems most media has some sort of political agenda, whereas yacht rock is all about vibin' and chillin'.
Examples of yacht rock:
Other yacht rock artists you can (and should) dig into are Michael Mcdonald, Christopher Cross, Boz Scaggs, Pablo Cruise, Earth, Wind, & Fire, Pages, Chicago, Toto, and many more.
This spotify playlist is also great to put on if you get hooked on the yacht bug of tasty jams and good vibes:
And to close the thread, here's a series of pretty funny sketches about yacht rock:
Hall and Oates, Fleetwood Mac, Blood Sweat & Tears, and other artists from that time that aren't necesarrily yacht rock but do have plenty of good vibes can also be posted.
