Yandere Sim Clones & Fangames - Yandere Wars: The Clone Wars. No, the games aren't coming out.

My 2080Ti sounded like a jet engine while playing this. It's easily the worst controlling game I've played. (to be fair it is a pre-pre-pre x100 alpha)

The blend animation is lacking, the animation itself is on half the speed. The real time shadows are low quality. The bed has a million polygons. This is the most basic of basic newbie games, that you can find a 10 minute tutorial on, on youtube. It looks absolutely horrendous and I want to gouge out my eyes.

The creator knows absolutly nothing about making a game. A todler can glue something of more value together.

Its shit game at the moment period. This game will 100% not break the curse. But I do want it to succeed the guy that is running it seems pretty chill but probably dumb when it comes to games.

Why must every single yandere game follow the same pattern as Yan Sim. These people need to be creative and original.
I think that's the problem. The people attempting to make these yandere-likes don't have a lot of ideas of their own, so they copy YanSim hook, line, and sinker. As a result, they will inevitably face all the same problems YanSim has already faced (and continues to slog through) in its development cycle.
Unless someone with even an ounce of creativity and originality in their skull drops in with a finished product, the curse will never be broken.

I agree with this. People have noticed how many problems there are with Yan-Sim, and these people say that they will make better games but they just copy Yan-Sim word for word. These people need to actually look at yandere content, and think "how can we make this into a game" instead of using spite.

"Because Alex is stupid, he can't code and wastes his time on streaming games and I can code and don't stream games, therefore if I take his broken concept and apply my entry level knowledge of programming to some free Unity assets, clearly I will be able to finish my own YS faster than him, but most importantly, I will show him that I am better and I know how to code, take that, Alex!"

Okay, let me interpret it: Its perfectly normal for Unity scripts to be in the Asset folder. Thats where they are supposed to be.
My guess is, you've never used Unity before.
My bad. As someone who mainly works on raw file/folder-based projects, the location of the code wasn't quite straightforward to me. I actually did use Unity a couple years back, but wasn't comfortable/productive with it and abandoned it pretty quickly. I simply forgot about the details.

I think it's just the genre being flawed. By now, surely there would've been someone (or a company) making this or a slight variation of the genre a success. I could be wrong, but that's the impression I got after following YS and the rise and fall of related games for years.

I think the community around it is where the majority of the flaws come from. The literal children and manchildren who follow this genre are too lazy and impatient to actually sit down and learn how to develop a game, and are too greedy for attention and fame to see their project through or properly manage their following to keep it from collapsing in on itself. Not to mention the people who try to make their own "Yansim but better" just to settle some petty grudge they have with Alex. As a result, you get these glorified unity tutorial builds with store-bought [and stolen] assets that get dumped after a few weeks when the developer doesn't get the e-celebrity status they desire and instead gets their shit kicked in by their toxic fanbase.

The only yandere game that was fully finished and released was Yandere School, and despite that game being short, you could at least see in their devlog videos that they handled the game's development competently and professionally, and as a result were able to finish the game without falling into the same pit all the others did. So I do believe it's possible for a dev who actually knows what they're doing to make a good Yandere game. We just haven't found one yet.

Absolutely, it should be possible by someone with enough skill, patience, and creativity. With that said, such people probably stay as far away from this autism as possible. Even if a good project were to appear, you know that even if its devs wanted nothing to do with Alex, Reddit autists would drag them along and call it "Yansim killer" or some shit along those lines.

“I am not talented enough to code and bring a game to life in Unity.

So instead I plan to leech off the success of sites such as Roblox, Gaia Online, IMVU and a whole other multitude of bad games where I can steal assets and make people pay me money to use them in their OC endeavors.”

Excellent plan.

Oh ffs they are bringing it back already lol. What a joke
This man really wants to make Telltale's Anime Among Us.

But seriously, why does everyone keep trying to copy the TWD games? They know that's what drove Telltale into the fucking dirt, right? If you have to take inspiration from a Telltale game, at least go with one of the good ones like Sam and Max.
