Not sure how thread-relevant this is (probably not at all, delete if so), but Saiko no Sutoka appears to be moving to a paid model; the 2.1 alpha can only be accessed by being a patron or paying at least $4 on Itch.io, and it's also going up on Steam on the 15th, presumably for EA.
Can't find too many mentions on it in the search, so in case you didn't know, it's the game that AMZE pretty much ripped for a fangame for Alex's annual Halloween shit as Yandere no Sutoka. Alex seems to like it, even calling the dev "very talented" (shocking he can actually do that, but I guess he doesn't feel like his territory is being treaded on). It still feels too early to move to that stage, it's buggy and lacks polish, but I guess not a lot of people were biting onto the Patreon.
I probably wouldn't get it, the curse of yandere games has been too real and it kinda feels like yet another Unity horror collectathon, except weeb. Still, this is a significantly smaller project than Yansim or any of the pathetic clone attempts, which I guess can be expected to be at least somewhat reliably developed by one person.

I think it is relevant. It's not a yansim clone per se but it's definitely part of the Yansim.... Diaspora? It's yansim-adjacent? It definitely wants to leech of the same crowd.
Expecting this one to either fail before a full release or just be absolute shit upon release. It's essentially Slender with big tiddy anime girls. And the Slender hype has been dead for years and it sucked even before the hype.
Several people from this team are already working on a new project... It looks like a bunch of the people involved in TOFM are convinced their game called "Life of A Yandere Simp" will release and... uhhh... yeah. I'll just let the Steam page [A] speak for itself. If you aren't convinced on how compelling the Steam page is check out the "developer log" talking about it [No Archive]. Hello. This is an update post.
A couple of months back, I documented the downfall of The One For Me (hence, TOFM) and its sudden implosion as ThatOneCalculator/Kainoa abandoned their own project. This thread has been a bit dead (Sammy the Janny probably is thanking whatever god there is) and we're probably scraping through the barrel. The Yandere Simulator Fan Clone Wars seems to be at a strange peace treaty, with nothing substantial really happening based on what I've seen. It is my belief that Logan and his spergatorium with Love Letter might have finally made the children realize that this is a cursed genre and they are best putting their creative pursuits towards something original. In said post, I declared the end of my watch on the TOFM's Discord (which was renamed to "The Server For Me.") I forgot to leave it on the alt that I was watching the server on. Said Discord server remained off topic from its original intention. I do genuinely applaud the people that used the situation to create a hub they can all enjoy together.
At the end of the post, I briefly mentioned the new project that people from the TOFM Shattering had been working on. It was called "Life of A Yandere Simp" [sic]. According to Steam, it actually did release. It has mostly been ignored to the point that even this thread (and myself!) forgot to check up on it. Well, nothing substantial happened except that it's probably the first of the games in this spite war to actually release. You can buy it for $3 USD, though I personally do not encourage it. It has 0 playtime in the past 2 weeks and anywhere from 0 to 20,000 owners on Steam! Seems very successful, to me!
There are 4 reviews on the store page. It is reasonable to assume that they were written by the children that worked on this game. Except maybe the person that wrote "no."
There is 1 post on the discussion board (the other 3 are update posts) made by someone who self describes themselves as a "successful Youtuber with 35 subscribers."
The last update was posted in January 7th. So the game was pretty much dumped on Steam, then abandoned.
Lastly, no real substantial improvements to the game's Wiki. I know it's not a huge update and there isn't much juicy tea here, but I thought that this game at least deserved to be a footnote in the Yandere Clone Wars documentation.
I pirated Yandere Simp and gave it a play. It's a beyond boring collection of fetch quests you have to complete for characters in order to find out who the rival is, has zero gameplay variation, [All the weapons are the same melee weapon with different skins, INCLUDING THE GUN.] and it barely even tries to be funny like what the name would imply. [The only jokes I could actually find in the game are the 'somebody one-upped Simp's $2,000 twitch donation by $1' bit in the intro and a game over screen saying 'You were caught by the simp police.']
So SnS went up on Steam recently; just from the first review, you can really tell who's invested into this.
Another telltale sign, the target of which Habupain seems very aware of, is the fact you can't even swear on the game Discord's general channel, only the "yabai" ones, the latter of which I'm pretty sure has been all but blocked off from new access for a while now.
You can get brutally decapitated by a girl in a blood-soaked Playboy bunny costume, but God forbid you say frick in general.

None of them are 3D artists of any kind beyond some furfag Roblox autism at best and have never even considered downloading a 3D modeling program in their entire lives to make their own assets.

Hold up, where was 3D modelling mentioned anywhere in the doc? Unless I missed something the only confirmed theft here is literally all the dialogue. I wouldn't be surprised if other things were stolen, though.
Was specifically alluding to the Bow-chan controversy and how they cant use her playermodel or character design anymore because the artist sued the team over trying to cut her name out of the credits or some other bullshit.
As well as most of these spontaneously developed demos actually being made entirely out of paid marketplace assets on UE4 or Unity like that "mr krabs overdoes" game creator also came out and admitted to doing, which went over pretty well for his honesty unlike these cumstains who lie about it and ban, smear and censor everyone who remotely points it out in their demos.
These teams also suck at documenting anything and let their fans do most of the patching and fixing of bugs just like Yandev himself

Holy shit, that's gone up in flames quick. Now I feel fully convinced -- it's not just Yansim and its clones, the whole fucking genre of yandere games is cursed with absolute autists. Might as well place bets on how long it takes for this to completely die off too.
