What I do know for certain is that people tend to look at the parties rather than the individual MLAs. Yaniv will easily win if they become a liberal or NDP candidate.

No way, he has to run in the riding he lives and Langley is a conservative church town. We've voted Liberal in every provincial election and conservative in every federal one by a landslide. He's got no chance of running in Rich Coleman's Liberal seat as he's a senior politician with the party. His only chance is running in BC NDP and as I've noted above he'd get absolutely destroyed.
Getting the nod to run as the NDP representative would also not be a cake walk. Don't forget Oger is Vice President of the party and is currently fighting with him. Don't see how we can even get nominated unless he's going to run as Green or independent.
An interesting thing to note is Langley did have a transgender run for federal election under the green party. They got 4% of the vote in the election. It's important to note too that Warawa, MP rerunning for reelection, was really unpopular with anyone that was even a little bit Liberal, he tried reopening the abortion debate in Canada against the wishes of his party and pretty much everyone else.

@WGkitty how come there are no Conservative members in the BC LA? Do they not run for election? It has really surprised me to see that it's NDP/Liberal/Green. It explains a few things too.
Provincial parties are not the same as the federal parties and can have very different policies than federal parties with the same name. BC Liberals historically have a lot of the same ideologies as federal Conservatives although the last BC Liberal government had no ideoligies and just picked whatever was most popular at the time.
This BC NDP government unlike I have found mostly does a good job focusing on actual policies instead of virtue signaling like Jagmeet's federal party is doing.
BC's provincial conservatives haven't had a seat since 1975.
