Doing field ops like going to public events like trials or attending speaking events isn't a huge deal as long as you keep quiet, don't stick out and don't attract attention. As long as you're there in the same capacity as any other member of the public, it's fine.
Like people attending the cwc trials, for example.
Now if they show up in kf tshirts and block Yaniv's path while taking pictures like they're some kind of paparazzi and he's Britney Spears, well... then they're kinda touchin the poop.
