She thinks she does, she thinks she's as feeling and empathetic as any other person (and then some), and because her paper thin ego wouldn't be able to withstand the devastation of realizing that she isn't a wonderful person, this won't ever change. Amber can't advance beyond a young child's ability to care about others.

:powerlevel::powerlevel::powerlevel: Totally in the nyquil drunk posting club, but yeah, I lost a pet last year to cancer in her reproductive organs, which is apparently kind of a given for unaltered dogs and cats (she was 10 or so when I got her) and that poor thing suffered so much, and because dogs and cats can be very stoic, we don't even know how long she was hurting before there were noticeable changes in her behavior that made us take her to the vet. Can't imagine lazy ass Amber taking poor Rarity in, should she stop eating or hopping around.

Well, I think one must remember that Amber’s perception of body size is significantly skewed. When she first met Becky in person Amber described her as “skinny”. And we have overwhelming evidence that Amber sees herself as a normal plus size chick and not someone who is circus sideshow levels of huge.

I suspect that if you've seen someone her size IRL, you'd remember. Her weight is grossly out of the normalcy curve - humans aren't supposed to be that heavy, and the few that are, aren't normally spotted in the wild.

Another thing to consider is that Amber has a below average height, which makes her weight even more remarkable.

Edit: those are meat breeds, btw. For the ones not that used to cattle, she weights more than the average female adult grizzly bear. In fact, she is within the average of a male grizzly. They stand 6.5 feet tall.
