EDIT: I stopped trick-or-treating when I turned 10 because I thought I was too old for it, it's pathetic she kept going for 11 years after my last time doing it. Nobody older than 12 should be trick-or-treating, let's be honest here.

Trick or treating as an adult, now that's sad. I know in some bumfucky places the age does get bumped up and high school kids sometimes get in on it, but no adult should be doing that. Amber at 20 knocking at the door is as bad as when parents ask for candy after their kids get theirs, or the old favorite 'oh, it's for a kid who couldn't come yet/ my kid who's too young'.

I guess giving out candy and making a kids Halloween fun or going to an adult party and having age appropriate fun is too good for Hamby.

Becky's family is poor and they need Amber to come swoop them all up into high society. This is just another way for Amber to keep Becky around longer. If Becky ever wants to leave she'll screech out "REMEMBER WHEN I GAVE YOUR FAMILY 300 DOLLARS?!?! Everyone knows about it! I'm the good person!"

When you're self employed, you have to pay the part of taxes an employer normally would pay. Essentially, they split the FICA part with the employee. Your rates look like federal tax rates but there are also state income taxes she would have to pay.

I, in no way, believe she pays taxes though. Her impulse control is bare bones and she can't save money for anything. At the minimum, self employed people pay in quarterly (like other businesses do).
