I've recently developed a taste for whiskey. I've only mixed cheap Jack Daniels with cola thus far, and I want to try something of quality. Something that you wouldn't mix. What do you guys like to drink when reading through threads that induce extreme cringe?

I love whiskey sour. With fresh lemonjuice but no egg white. I love making cocktails of any kind, mostly the sour ones.
Also, Gin-Tonic. I don´t even know why I like it, but I do. Vodka is fine too, but only pure.

Aside Gin, fuck gin tastes like pine trees and hitler. Sadly I'm a scotch man and that gets car payment pricey quickly. I mostly do bourbons and beer myself.

My go to is highland park 18, or the dalwhinnie 15 on scotches.

Tue cueapest amd strongest vodka I can buy in a hurry. I don't drink much, only to get myself to pass out to avoid feeling something when I'm upset, terrible habit. On mother's day, the first after min passed last year, I got so smashed that I still have a headache.

I prefer sugary booze. I'm a huge fan of anise-based liquors, especially rakı and pastis. A mauresque (orgeat syrup+ pastis) is a great thing to drink in the summmer, and has the advantage of being considerably cheaper than most cocktails here in France. The best brands being IMHO Yeni Rakı for rakı and Henri Bardouin for pastis.

I also like rum-based cocktails. I might drink rum straight if it's very good.

Baileys isn't great to get drunk on, but it tastes damn fine in desserts.

I like whiskey in general. Jameson is pretty decent in terms of quality and price. I also really like limoncello, which is basically Italian lemon vodka. Also, I've always really loved Fireball, which apparently makes me a walking stereotype to some people.

Oh, and beer. Beer is good. I can't drink super cheap shit unless it's free, though.

I like hard ciders. Belgian brews are pretty good too, but if I am somewhere with less selection, I'm fine with any old Guinness. I really like Ethiopian honey wine whenever I go to Ethiopian restaurant, but quality can be variable. Any champagne is good to me.

I was dating a girl who's part of the Jameson family.

To be honest I call it my deal breaker. Any time I get near it next day goes bad. For some magic reason of timing it comes out after I've already had too much and it sounds like a good idea at the time.

Limoncello is so bomb, they traditionally do a few kinds but lemon being most common. I made a batch once (it's easy just google) on a whim with no sugar as I have no sweet tooth. It was just amazing, if it was not booze I'd sip all day. Just fresh, quite tart little sting.

JWB is crazy over priced, it's nice but 200 for a blend gtfo. Funny story, a friend of mine got a bottle of it as his 21st bday gift. Him and I being idiots and 21 killed the bottle playing video games. Being broke college kids, we had to use coffee mugs as it was the nicest cups he had.

a) Costco $15 for 1.5l Generic American Vodka (preferably in one of my totes dank bloody marys, but if I'm doing shots I just pour them into a coffee mug because tiny shot glasses are a bitch to use after drinking)
b) cheap bottled beer including but not limited to: Miller High Life, Aldi Lights, Corona Extra in the Familiar bottle
If PBR bottles were cheap like the tallboys I'd be all up on them but fuck paying good beer money for PBR.

It's a toss up between Bailey's or Creme de Menthe. (A few years ago at Christmas, my uncle made these pudding shots, and one were chocolate with Creme de Menthe. Oh my god, they were so heavenly. My cousins and I were just sitting there downing them like there was no tomorrow)
