I'm surprised as well, but these are mostly 16 year olds doing hardcore drugs while praising Pulp Fiction so, can't entirely say my hopes are high.
Honestly the only "ARG" if you can call it that I got into other than I am Sophie was the worlds.com disaster, nihilist is actually pretty dope.
I just hope at some point we'll get an ARG that we truly deserve, Marble Hornets is severely dated but that seems to be the only golden one.
Definitely my favorite. The cultural impact is so widespread too, it really touched a lot of different areas from viral marketing to cinema. It's like the Blair Witch of ARGs.
Can totally agree on that, I really gotta get back into watching that more regularly, MH was literally a fucking nuke on the 'creepy' side of the internet, I just hope we get a remaster or something close to a remaster soon, might take that project on actually.

I still don't get what cultivated this "Shadman is so badass!" attitude among these people. He's a random pervert who draws cartoon cp on the internet. What did he do to get this following? Am I missing something?
He got big in 2016, which I would say was a pretty big year for the intersectionality of internet culture and the real world, he was/is known for being a provocateur because of his dark aesthetic and the regularity+quality of his work. He pretty much drew porn of whichever meme was popular that week, so he gained infamy among more mainstream audiences. His biggest year for drawing kids was 2016r+2017 with LT. Corbis and Keemstar's kid, alongside drawing Hillary Clinton as a little girl getting fucked by Trump. He's intentionally edgy so the people he attracts are the same, anytime someone says he's not funny or something, his fans just went with the shield of them just being a "Triggered SJW" or some shit, because that was at it's peak back then. Right now, he's not nearly as edgy. It's a cycle of like, incest, trap who calls traps gay and random e-thot, all of which are pretty tame. The people who bring him up now probably stopped paying attention to him and just remember him at his peak.
