At least it makes sense why there are Rhodieboos. A tiny minority who successfully turned the place from an iron age tribal backwater to a (kind of) modern nation holding out against nigh-endless commie hordes with better equipment than them, but still wrecking them militarily until the end without giving a shit about the rest of the world's condemnation just sounds badass. And once they're finally ground down Mugabe does such a shit job that he proves them right (though to be fair if they just gave in to majority rule in '64 they might have gotten saner leadership and merely descended to the African average rather than the meme country that Zimbabwe became) . Too bad most of their fans consist of ageing mall ninjas from Soldier of Fortune and/or niggerkiller88 types, who completely ignore the other half of the Rhodie's skill- the ability to convince so many natives to keep fighting for them despite everything. It is amusing to see them overrun the comments sections of vids that present the superficial mainstream narrative of the conflict though.
I'll never understand why the production quality of these channels like Monsieur Z or Whatifalthist is so shit when they have patreon and sponsorships. I'm pretty sure they're using fucking Microsoft Paint and Movie Maker, which they have no excuse not to upgrade to real production software by now.

Probably because they started out as tiny one man channels and don't want to change too much. Dovahhatty didn't change that much in art style, he just increased the level of detail & video length as he got the Patreon bux and connnections to get better artists. I kind of like the sketches anyway, it would be pretentious to have some slick graphic done up for what is obviously just the speculation of one guy who likes to read (or more likely play Paradox games while the audiobook plays in the background).
I admire Rhodesia holding out despite being mostly isolated from the international community (Based Saffers gave no shits back then). Hell Ian Smith from his latter interviews seems to have had a good vision of a white and black led government.
I've heard some shit online about him stealing work but that is in the minority of what I have heard.
He also tend to dig up lots of really obscure/underreported events and tidbits to make videos on. So even if you've read and watched a lot of history on WW2, there's a good chance you'll learn something new.
I don't watch enough OverSimplified to have felt confident in placing him in the OP. I did forget to mention History Buffs, the historical movie reviews channel with has spergy moments.
He also ended his most recent Midway review with a huge rant about the movie giving tribute at the end to japanese soldiers who died in ww2 and how it's in poor taste because of the brutality of the japanese forces in ww2.
I haven't seen his Midway review yet but that sounds autistic. Every combatant committed some level of atrocities from bombing civilian centers to mass deportations and murders.
Sadly a lot of History channels seem to be hit with demonitization and takedown if the subject is WW2/Warcrimes. It is annoying to bitch but given the production value on some of these channels and the fact they usually don't get sponsorships every video (either some shitty gacha or something like Manscaped or ridge wallets) I can see why they would be upset YouTube decided their videos weren't advertiser friendly. Some channels like TimeGhost alleviate this with Patreon Buxs but I doubt all of them can rake in a lot from Patrick to cover production costs.
Well the guy is a retard. Nazis actually could have won the war actually if their orginal plan hadn't been fucked. Nazis had many advancements compare to other European countries hence beginning of the war they were winning against the allies. They had plan to attack the the U.S before the U.S even joined the war. but their alley Japan fucked up the plan for personal grudge and attack the U.S one year earlier ruinng that plan completely. Also it said if Spain had officially join the axis the war would have lasted a year longer.
I don't think the axis could have invaded the US. They just didn't have the fleet to compete with the US.
Like I said the Nazis were indeed planning to invade the U.S. but plan to do it later like 2 or 3 years laters. Again Japan fucked up their plans with that.
