I'm just realizing what a genius move that is, marketing-wise. Youtubers like pewdiepie have such a rabid fanatic fanbase, who're largely too young to worry about whether something's a waste of money since it's just a matter of harassing their parents for it. Youtube's gotta develop a niche somehow in the premium content market. Apparently that niche is kid/preteen-targeted originals.
