tldr-based conservative leafs are suing google because when you search anything it only shows results from youtube like 95% of the time anymore. That being said this platform suck it only has facebook MAGA grifters like Dinesh D'souza, Diamond and Silk, Dan Bongino, etc.
Viva Frey recently had an interview with Rumble CEO, it was pretty interesting.

And yeah why would anyone move to an inferior platform because getting to the level of youtube requires massive investment and create a whole infrastructure to reach similarity in term of features. Youtube itself is a money losing platform that only stays up because its propped up by Alphabet its parent company so imagine how a similar platform trying to compete can even do.

All these Silicon Valley video-hosting start ups will always fail.

Until an established megacorporation with billions in its warchest is ready to launch their own YouTube copycat, and are willing to spend a fuckton of money and resources on a division of their company that will hemmorhage money for years until they can siphon enough advertisers from YouTube, just to fall short of breaking even on their initial investment at its most profitable, YouTube will run unopposed.

Ease of use. People forget how swiftly and decisively Discord stole away all of Skype's market share despite Skype operating at a loss and receiving glownigger support. How did it do that? By being an easy-to-use, visually-appealing program that made Skype's bloatware look like a desiccated fossil. There's plenty of other examples... including Skype itself, which replaced software like MSN Messenger, which in turn replaced AOL chatrooms, and so on. User-made video sharing websites and user-made chatrooms aren't too divorced conceptually.

The U.S. government tries not to operate by propping up dead-end products in our allegedly-free market while simultaneously squashing its competition. That's more of a Soviet tactic, and it killed them because obviously you can't expect to compete with your international rivals if you refuse to adopt new technology invented by those rare bright specimens of proletariat. Rumble (in theory) has the potential to do things like offer better pay to tentative content creators, perform less censorship of off-kilter ideas or statements (this would be especially popular nowadays) and enforce its guidelines more consistently and efficiently than Youtube presently does. That alone would entice end-users to make the switch and the federal government would soon follow. But this assumes Rumble doesn't pull a Parler and strangle themselves in the crib.

Maybe on paper. I have no doubt youtube is a playground for testing algorithms for their other companies that are then sold off. Also, all the data they probably collect on users too; might not be sold off but are integrated into other projects which would be invaluable.

Nobody gives a fuck about Discord outside of trannies and greasy nerds. Most intracompany communication is done through Skype/Slack/Teams/etc.

We're talking about Youtube. Discord has more in common with Youtube in regards to what it was designed to do and how it's used than something like Teams. Skype played with the idea of retooling itself for business settings but that endeavor didn't last very long at all.

They may lose the case, but they'll gain members as the media reports on the site and the premise of their operation.
Except we've been here before when Alex Jones went to Bitchute, and now Bitchute is upping the censorship. What makes a Canadian based platform any different from an UK one?

Bitchute banned some Finnish white nationalist organization because they are basically branded as a terrorist organization in a lot of different European countries. They pretty much had no choice in the matter considering the circumstances.

Being in the UK does leave them vulnerable to government censorship, yes, but at this point big tech censorship seems even more pernicious.

Bitchute and Odysee are the best bets for video hosting going forward. Rumble is pure boomer posting.

I would be willing to bet that part of the reason for this lawsuit is to get press and inform the public that there is an alternative to YouTube. They may lose the case, but they'll gain members as the media reports on the site and the premise of their operation.
Yeah, Andrew Torba did the same stunt with a suit against Google that he then promptly dropped.

They banned all content from all branches of the NRM, the Finnish branch of which was banned in Finland officially because one of their members kicked an antifa junkie after he spat on him, with the junkie dying days later (it was actually because they protested outside the Zionist embassy). Nothing to do with 'terrorism'.

It is banned nowhere else- not even the UK- and runs in Swedish elections.

lol BitChute is a joke. You sound like a Styx fan
Whats the tl;dr on this? Is it any better/worse/same as Bitchute?
It's even less relevant so nobody knows yet.

I actually just tried it out myself. Two Words: Don't Bother

Their entire uploading process is based on a "credit" system. You're given like 0.50 credits right from the start and every upload takes away like 0.02 of it or a little more depending on the upload. So that means you're ALWAYS forced to fill your wallet to buy more credits unless you take the "subscription whore" route and hoe yourself out there for more viewers/followers/subscribers for easy free credits.

Also for some reason, their payment system doesn't support USA yet, so any USA users that want to fill their wallet is kinda fucked at the moment.

EDIT: Also forgot to mention that as soon as i made an account, my email kept getting spammed with shit from random companies trying to sell me shit like TrackingFitness, 3dVortex, and PlungerPresure.
