Nyanners also has a huge following of creeps. In my old stomping grounds the whole chat would explode with creepers if Nyanner's was mentioned or a new video was found. Nyanners did nothing to stop the creeps and even approved of the attention.

I wouldn't even call Nyanners a lolcow, but she's built up her entire internet persona through pandering to creepy shut-ins. She wouldn't even have to have personal conflict like this if she didn't go for the low-hanging fruit. However, that's pretty much the only reason she's notable to anyone.

Because I'm a huge anime nerd with a collection of dvds and blu-rays that has cost me over $12,000 since the year 2000 and I can't stand her. Maybe I'm too old, though.

I've never been part of chan culture (thank goodness) so I don't really understand. It must take a bunch of ridiculously lonely guys with no attention from girls to obsess over this kind of stuff.

She went from celebrated to SJW dirt because she took down a video where she's singing about a preteen anime girl getting jizzed on. I think that says more about the people that follow her if anything. It's pretty hilarious when you think about it, something as benign as this is setting off the hornet nest.

A couple of years ago when she was just starting (I think it was right after the troll-sama video was made and right before it became a thing) I found the video hilarious, chatted with her a bit and joined in with her group of followers for a couple of months. I don't have any content though, since all that was talked about was vidya, 4chan drama and memes, it was unremarkable. From what interactions I had with her and saw, I'm convinced she's autistic.

She is very much an attention and drama-whore. Where ever she appears drama usually follows. In the early days she would remove her videos and then make vlogs about how trolls and haters caused it to happen, fishing for ass-pats and white-knights. She did this a couple of times.

The reason she has so many creepy neckbeard followers is because that's who she originally catered to. That's why I bailed out and ran far away, because I realized this.

It's impossible to say but I'd guess a fair few of them. You only need to poke your nose into 4/8/711 /a/ boards and the smell is so strong you can taste it in the back of your mouth.

Nyanners little stint to chan infamy was more about shock humor than actual talent. any /a/ board on any chan would crack a smirk at a VA making stupid/non PC voice overs of drawn little girls. It's what she's known for. The fact that she's trying to sweep her past under the rug and still keep the notoriety is what's disappointing.

I'd have to disagree. You can see why they'd be upset.
Lets say you had a friend, lets call him Steve.

Steve drew pictures of cats, cat enthusiasts loved them. Suddenly Steve was known around town as "A guy who draws cats really well".
Now lets say Steve found it more profitable and better for his career as an artist to draw dogs. and uses his reputation in the pussy sketching industry to move into dog drawings. Concerned that the dog art aficionados might scrutinize him for his pussy penciling past he attempts to cover up that past by destroying all of those past pictures and proclaiming that cat pictures are shit, effectively taking the "cats" out of the equation and just leaving "A guy who draws really well". It's not too much of a stretch to say that the kitty lovers would get upset.

I do agree it's funny that chans have turned on her so quickly. I can't imagine it would have been that big of a deal before the whole gamergate thing erupted but now that they've been demonized and she's seen as one of them I can see a lot of ween calls and unsolicited pizza deliveries on the horizon for her.
