No dysphoria diagnosis, no intention to transition, actively spouts transphobic and homophobic drivel, and acts like he was in some way elected to screech over actual transpeople. In short: did Zinnia Jones inadvertently help get Manning locked away for even longer while supposedly being a witness for the defense? Short answer: maybe. Jones certainly didn't help much and exaggerated his importance in the whole affair.
A while back, there was speculation that the testimony of Zachary Antolak / Zinnia Jones / then Lauren McNamara didn't actually help Manning much, and in fact opened the door to recalling a rebuttal witness to contradict the testimony and demolish a defense argument about Manning's motivations.
I only found one document about that:
