It was a service dog. Many, if not most, reputable service dog organizations in the US have agreements where the service dog goes back to the organization when the client dies or it's determined they no longer need it, ie the client goes into long term assisted care. Some will let family keep if it was also a family pet. Organization where you train your own "service dog" are on the rise. These are a step between bullshit service animals where people just lie and dogs trained for thousands upon thousands of dollars. There is a company that also does the initial training for the city and SWAT K9 offer a free multi-month course for disabled veterans in my state for instance. This is becoming more popular because there can be multi-year wait lists and not everyone needs a dog trained to the level that a quadriplegic would.

I assume it would also depend on her German citizenship status and where she actually got the dog as well.

Becky, if you're really innocent and " reformed " you need to strongly consider for the well-being of your dog in the case that you pass. After what you've allegedly been through, I would NEVER trust another furry with my animal ever again. Nacho raped and abused her service dog Diamond just like Cupid and Noodle did. There's videos on the surface net of her doing it along with videos of her abusing a German Shepherd belonging to someone she met through Beastforum. From what I've been able to piece together either Noodle or Cupid ratted her out after she called the cops on Noodle for domestic assault and she had to rat them out in turn to keep the cops from taking her dogs. I could be wrong on some of the details because it's a matter of figuring out which zoo is lying the least.

I've been in brief contact with one of the animal control officers involved in her case against Cupid for his abuse against Diamond. They knew what she was doing to Diamond. They looked the other way and let her keep him because nobody fucking cares when women are the perpetrators of sexual assault and rape. They focused on Cupid instead probably with the hopes they could also nail him on grooming and abusing minors. But that fell through and he walked away with only misdemeanor animal abuse charges.

I don't believe she reformed. If she did it was only because her illnesses made her too weak to go doggy style with Fido. You don't keep the dog you groomed and trained into topping you and licking your snatch if you're trying to stave off your urges to rape dogs. You don't get another husky if you're trying to stave off your urges to rape dogs.
