I remember when this shit was talked about, and the .wad was passed around. I played it at, and my impressions are that it's shit and not very fun, steering is awkward, the weapons suck, the enemies are annoying, and the levels are bad, but also that Stray Dog is so retarded that you'd have be an absolutely demented faggot to take it seriously at all. Not even some 13 year old groyper dipshit would look at Stray Dog and think it isn't dumb.
Rachael flipped his lid, because he's a typical commie and was of the opinion that the rioting, arson and pillaging going on last summer was black folx fighting for their lives, for their survival, etc, etc.
I was told this person had some wild sexual hangups, no idea if true, never talked to them, only know that they're a tranny.
Tormentor is all about style over substance, which is why KDIZD was mired in detail for the sake of detail (gotta add all kinds of little details, even if they look out of place or bad), but played like complete shit, and exemplifies I think some of the worst practices in Doom mapping. Blade Of Agony is detail for the sake of detail, much like KDIZD, but done extremely lazily, and with design which is all over the place, far worse than with KDIZD.
This is such an excellent example of what a heap of shit Blade Of Agony is.

Then someone on the team puts a pissing waypoint or whatever at the urinals in a bathroom in some level, because of course, but forgets that there only exists animation frames for showing the character pissing on the ground, so as a result you have a character wander to a public restroom so he can piss on the floor in front of the urinals. Admittedly hilarious, but probably not intentional.

Making new enemies with DeHacked has limitations and annoyances, and none of them want to do it with GzDoom because the lack of demo compat, authentic enemy behavior, or for the fact that GzDoom runs kind of like shit and has really mediocre performance for a lot of people. Perhaps all this new shit with UMAPINFO and Extended DeHacked could be utilized for some more creativity, such as more enemy types, if a lot of those types can tear themselves away from Vanilla.
I'd like to see you expand on "Techbase/Hell" and the part about format, not sure what you mean by that.
It's easy to mod Doom, but if you have no understanding of level design, your maps will be shit. Omegalore gets how to mod Doom and his shit is all abysmal.
Fair point, as Zdoom doesnt accurately do stuff that you can do in a typical limit removing port.
As for the Techbase/hell thing, this is more of a pet peeve of mine. What I was referring to is that many of these vanilla/limit-removing map wads out there that barely use any custom textures other than to change the sky, which means that unless they have been very creative with how they used their textures, you'll always get the same "High Tech Base" and "Temple from hell" in terms of themeing. Once you played enough of them it gets to the point where it feels like you're playing something procedually generated by some robot.

I see your point with that. If I'm playing a mapset, I usually want the map to use the stock textures in a novel way, like Going Down, or to use at least some new textures to create more fresh visuals.
Or just something which uses mostly stock textures but very smartly, along with good use of linedef detail and lighting, like Double Impact.
